btw congrats on the title. I think this should be in here.

Arguably the most remarkable showing came from FootballGuys’ kicker specialist, Mike Herman. For those that aren’t aware, Herman is a devotee of all things kicker related and even operates his own blog, appropriately namedKickology. It’s only fitting, therefore, that he lapped the field in the one category he submitted rankings: Kicker. Herman’s accuracy score, 76.3%, was so far and away the #1 rating (#2 was 46.1%) that we’ll be requesting he submit to a doping test within the next 24 hours. In all seriousness, congrats are in order because this was an incredible performance. Now might not be a bad time to ask FootballGuys for a raise, Mike.

MRI on Lawrence Tynes showed only a bruise. Coughlin won't predict how long he'll be out. Not sure if he'll bring in a K.

Danny Smith said the #Redskins haven't decided if they'll bring in another vet to compete with Graham Gano.

Who is the favorite to win the Dallas K job? Will Buehler retain it when healthy or is Bailey the favorite regardless?
Bailey had the early lead, but it evened out recently. Plus they still have an injured Kai Forbath lurking in the background. Probably a slight edge to the healthy Bailey at the moment.

Mike, you have Hartley projected as the #2 guy this year. Why are you expecting such a big jump from last year?

Mike... after last nights game any educated guess as to who the Dallas kicker will be? I think this is the most curius question left out there at kicker.

Probably about the same time you were posting this, I was fine-tuning my projections. I currently have him at 5th. Last year the Saints were 11th (accounting for Hartley's 14 games and Carney's 2 games). I'm presuming Hartley won't have another slump this year, and will get back into the top ten.P.S. we'll now need to monitor his health status after last night's injury...

If I were forced to go with a Dallas kicker at this juncture, I'd go with Bailey. But any one of them is risky fantasy pick right now.

I think it was with a stiff wind, but did anyone happen to catch Praters 57 yarder vs SEA? It was still rising as it sailed through the uprights could have gone 75 yards legitimately (but would have missed at 75 as it appeared to be hooking left pretty hard when it hit the net.

Did they change the balls or something? Seem to be a LOT of guys hitting 57-63 yard FGs this preseason. Maybe just in the games I am watching.

looks like John Kasay will be signing with New Orleans.

also looks like Dave Rayner might be the favorite to win the kicking job in Dallas.

Any news on if Tynes plays opening week?

I'm pretty peeved right now that in a deep league I carry Tynes, Hartley and Buehler and i'm staring at a freaking zero from my kickers. Waivers just closed until after week 1 is over and about an hour after the waivers ended I heard Hartley is out for a couple months.

How will kasay fair? Wasnt he recently beat out by somebody average?
He didn't fair too well last night, but I think he'll do okay. He, along with a kickoff specialist (Lloyd), were "replaced" by a pretty good player (Mare) that can handle both roles, thus freeing up a roster spot for some offensive or defensive player (although I don't really understand why anyone would want more of those).

The last I heard Tynes was expected back for the opener, but that was awhile ago and certainly not definitive.

I don't want to give away subscriber content but you are a lot lower on Janikowski than pretty much everyone else. Is this because you expect the Raiders offense to struggle or is there another reason you expect such a drop in production?

Beat writer Jeff Roberts just posted the following:"Tynes said he expects to kick against Washington. Felt good after taking 25 field goal attempts and eight kickoffs."
