I'll definitely tune in on this one, Big Mex.

LBook has been working as the pseudo-Westy in the 2nd string package. He may see work as such during the season as he can replicate Westy's usage should #36 need a series or two off.

:thumbup:Lo said "West and I have been in the backfield together A LOT"He definitely will play the Westy role in case of emergency, but I think he'll spell BWest a little more - and get more production than people think.

I agree 1000% Cec - after what he said when we interviewed him plus things he talked about when I was around him as he worked out the last week or two, I'd say he's excited and in great position to make A LOT of noise.Buck might be the official #2 back, but Westy owners are going to want to see if they can trade for Lo now before the season really starts.

Absolutely. I've seen Westy owners targeting CBuck and I've been very
I think it's the Miami factor - anyone from there has that taint to them. Plus he didn't do alot there and Buck had a good season there last year.Let them keep it up. I'm happy to snag him later than I should be able to and see what he can do.I think in a PPR, he may put up some good bye week numbers if not better.

I don't get the Booker buzz ... heralded prospect underproduces at a big time program. Then is in a perfect situation last year after Ronnie went down, but he couldn't even fend off a guy who has been out of the NFL for years for playing time. Then Ricky gets hurt, and he still can't see the field.

And then, once Bill Parcells comes to town -- a well-respected talent evaluator -- one of the first things he does is ship Booker to Philly.

I kind of like Booker, and thought he's surprise in Miami, but given everything I've seen so far, I can't see the cause for optimism ...

Parcells also doesn't seem to want Taylor, so he ain't always right. I think what he wants to do with the ball - pound it - doesn't suit Booker at all. He knew that and needed picks, so off to philly Booker went. I think it's less about Parcells not liking him and more about him fitting or not fitting the schemes they wanted to use.I don't think you can look that hard at last year, given the Miami situation and how it played out. He still had 4.5 ypc, and as for holding off Ricky W - well I just think you have to look at Cameron for that decision. I don't think that had as much to do with Booker as it did some shaky decisions.Booker can catch the ball and is very quick. He's going to an offense that will play to his strengths and really wanted him there badly. Reid is pretty high on him and frankly, none of the other backs there seem to have produced up to hopes (westy aside of course).I think he has opportunity and I believe he has the ability -and desire - to impact this year. He's in a good fit for him. I like his chances.

Philly approached Miami. It's not like the Dolphins were shopping him. the Eagles wanted to draft Booker last year, but were left with Tony Hunt. :yes:The optimism comes from him being in the perfect system. If he can't do it in Philly, then he just can't do it. Philly is like the Denver scheme for LoBook.

Maybe you're right ... I just recall reports being how great he looked in Dolphins practices but it never translated to game production. If I somehow end up with Westbrook I'll likely try to grab Booker late; I'm just being circumspect on his anticipated potential.

My 2¢ says that now that he's in Philly, his dynasty value shoots skyrockets. Westbrook isn't getting younger, and Booker seems to be a perfect fit for that system. (of course, I'm extremely biased and generally optimistic about my own players. Its possible that I only feel so strongly about this because he's on my dynasty team. GO LORENZO! GO!)

His dynasty value is higher than it's been, so people could get some sweet deals for Lo' from the Westy owners.

With Miami Booker was only active for the last five games. In those games, he averaged 4.5 ypc and over 5 catches a game for 362 total yds. Not bad numbers, and his ypc was quite good. I don't think he *failed* at all, when given the chance he did decent, though we'll see what he can do in Philly...
