The Audible interview with Paul Domowitch (1 Viewer)

Domowitch ? The same guy who last August wrote this ?

Paul Domowitch | Saint's bird-brained move nice for Eagles

IT'S HARD to quantify stupid, but dealing away a wide receiver the caliber of Donté Stallworth for Mark Simoneau and a conditional fourth-round draft pick is a pretty good place to start....

If you're the Eagles, you're thanking God right now that there are people in the league as incompetent as Saints general manager Mickey Loomis and player personnel director Rick Mueller - people to whom you can turn when you realize, nearly too late, that Todd Pinkston is a wimp....

Andy Reid and Tom Heckert might want to send them a nice thank-you gift if the Eagles make the playoffs, which is a much better possibility today than it was earlier this week.

What is your point? :( I must be missing something.

Nice interview guys. I'm generally not a huge fan of most Eagles beat writers but Domowitch does a workmanlike job covering the team.

I think his point re: Curtis is well made. Learning the Birds' offense won't be a problem for Curtis b/c of his intellect, but not having McNabb all offseason to work on routes and chemistry certainly could. I also think his point re: Buckhalter being a much smaller back now (210 pounds) than he used to be in order to stay healthy is a great point for why they focused their attention on Hunt.

sounds like we should downgrade curtis a bit...
He definitely has a chance to start slow, especially with him and McNabb not having time in mini camp to get some chemistry. I am going to downgrade him some. I also will keep in mind if he starts really slow, consider the reasons above, and he just might be a good buy low candidate before he gets some chemistry with McNabb and learns the offense.

I too am going to downgrade him some, but with defenses paying so much attention to Westbrook, Brown, McNabb, and Smith - I like the opportunities that Curtis could see on the field.
