In This Episode: Cecil Lammey and Sigmund Bloom break down the Jaguars with Special Guest Vito Stellino, Jaguars beat writer from the Florida Times Union. Topics include Byron Leftwich, how to split carries between RBs, why Maurice Jones-Drews production might slip, the open competition at the WR position, the possibility of Daunte Culpepper going to Jacksonville, and more!

I am generally patient with the sound difficulties, but the phoneline for Vito was pretty poor.

"Jones-Drew is at his best when he's getting around 15 carries a game."

So his carries are going to increase by 50% this year?

Its really too bad that the sound quality suffered, because this was one of the most informative beat writer interviews we've done the whole offseason. Among the nuggets Vito gave us:

- MJD produced very well in passing situations against nickel defenses.

- Williams and Jones are not guaranteed roster spots

- They aren't sure any of the TEs can step up this year to fill the possible increased role

Every one of the beat writers you've had on has been a good interview. But I think Vito is the one I'd most like to sit down and have a few beers with.

He's definitely one of the "old school" beat writers who has forgotten more football than most of us will ever know.

seriously? who are they going to lose them to?
I think it's more Wilford and Jones aren't guaranteed spots.Williams

Jones

Northcutt * Pretty much guaranteed to be WR3

Wilford

Walker * Gonna make the roster

Charles Sharon * Good chance to be special teamer

John Broussard * incredibly fast might get plucked if put on practice squad
