Its really too bad that the sound quality suffered, because this was one of the most informative beat writer interviews we've done the whole offseason. Among the nuggets Vito gave us:

- MJD produced very well in passing situations against nickel defenses.

- Williams and Jones are not guaranteed roster spots

- They aren't sure any of the TEs can step up this year to fill the possible increased role

He's definitely one of the "old school" beat writers who has forgotten more football than most of us will ever know.

I don't think this impacts Northcutt because I believe he will be the slot WR no matter what, and the others will battle for the 2 starting positions.
