DYNASTY QB'S

In my auction I like to draft a 2nd tier QB1 (Top 7-12) and pair him up with a high upside QB2 (Top 13-20).

Although I won my league last year (thanks FG!!!), it was not thanks to Carlson Palmer and Trent Edwards.

Its early, but who do you think will surprise from the QB2 ranks and make a run to QB1 status on 2010? Cecil what is your take on Bloom's article?

Thanks

Cecil, comment on your boy Dan Lefevour electing not to throw at the Combine? This seems to fly in the face of logic where he would be well served to participate and throw with Clausen, Bradford, and McCoy all not taking part in the physical drills.

Hey guys! (Thanks for the shout out on last week's show, by the way!)

Here are my questions this week:

1. How much do you both value rookie draft picks in dynasty leagues? For example, I have two picks in the 2nd round this year thanks to a trade I made recently. Are draft picks too coveted by some owners? I just wanted to get your general thoughts on that subject.

2. Since the release of Brian Westbrook, there has been a lot of talk about LeSean McCoy taking over his role, but I think people are forgetting about a certain "FB turned RB" named Leonard Weaver who really did a good job for the Eagles last season. So my question is this - do you see the Eagles using Weaver more in the future or trusting McCoy with a greatly increased workload?

Oh, and when will Matt Waldman be enlightening us all with his rookie knowledge?

Have at it, gentlemen! :lmao:

Who are some of the player that you guys are attempting to acquire this offseason. Who is your buy low and buy NOW type guys for you?

I've got a fever and the only prescription is More Audible Podcast!

I am in a 12-team PPR Keeper league that scores 6pt for all TDs. Starters on offense: 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, and 1 Flex(rb,wr,te)

I can keep 3 of these offensive players: QB: Tom Brady-NWE, RB: Steven Jackson-STL, Jamaal Charles-KCC, Rashard Mendenhall-PIT, WR: Brandon Marshall-DEN, Steve Smith-NYG

Which of these 3 would you keep and why?

Gentlemen, I'm also in a 16-team dynasty league draft and with the 1.02 Rookie Pick I'm leaning strongly towards Dez Bryant. It's a PPR start 3-4 WRs, so are you guys as fired up about Bryant as I am or am I just taking WAY TOO MANY crazy pills???

Keep up the great work and I will keep listening!

Cheers,

-Joe(gogobroncos) :bye:

Hey Fellas,

Couple of up-and-comer questions today...

1- If the Seahawks let Burleson walk (it's looking that way) do you think Deion Butler is ready for primte time as a #2 WR?

2- If Owen Daniels isn't ready or not back with HOU, do you think Casey gets the lionshare of TE targets or does Dreeson hang around and make the position useless for fantasy?

3- if the Titans don't retain Bo Scaife (looking 50/50 right now) then what sort of #s would you expect Jared Cook to put up? He looked good in limited duty last year, but does he have the smarts do get the mental part of the game if pressed into duty in 2010?

Also, on a related TEN note, do you think defensive coordinators will adapt to the TEN running game? In your opinions can that rushing attack be schemed against, or is TEN's simply a case of commitment and personnel?

Lastly, could you see STL doing something similar? The two rumors making the rounds about the Rams these days are about bringing in Vick or Josh Johnson... just sayin

(Please feel free to paraphrase this question)

There seems to be a lot of controversy regarding the top two QB's in this year's draft. There are those who contend that neither Clausen or Bradford are "Franchise QB's". Further, most pundits believe that you cannot win a SB without a franchise QB on the roster so you have to take one if the opportunity is there. They are quick to point to the last several SB winners and the presence of franchise QB's on their rosters. Well did Big Ben play like an elite Qb in his first SB win? Was Eli all that against the Patriots in 2007? I contend that you need to build a solid team first and hope you can build a team chemistry that will propel you into playoff contention and let the chips fall where they may. Does it help to have a great QB? Sure, but without a solid team around them it is unlikely the team wins the ultimate prize. That is why I don't believe Washington should reach for a questionable QB at the top of a very good draft pool with all their other team needs. Shanny the genius should be able to groom either Campbell or another QB as the Skins grow into a contender.

Who do you think Washington should pick and where should Clausen and Bradford be drafted? (Schefter is reporting that the Rams will take Bradford #1.)

Thanks guys.....

Hi guys, great podcast!!

Where do each of you rank Ryan Matthews in this years RB class?

Does his skill set translate well into the NFL?

Do you think he will impress enough at the combine to improve his position on NFL teams draft boards?

Which NFL teams do you feel are most likely to be taking a real hard look at him this week?

Of those teams, which will be the best situation for Matthews to land in?

Have you been able to get any looks at him yet this week?

One last question.........How soon do you think the 2010 NFL Draft RB Rankings will be posted at Draftguys.com?

Thanks guys! Have a great show!!

F.Gore, D.Brown, W.McGahee, S.Slaton

L.Fitzgerald, Mark Clayton, Darrius H-Bey

J.Witten

I have pick 1.1 in the upcoming rookie draft and would like to hear your thoughts on who would fit into my team best. I'm pretty solid on CJ Spiller with this selection but I woulD like to hear your thoughts on why I should either stick with spiller or look somewhere else

Thanks for taking your time to do these shows for us! Love it!

Gentlemen,

Talk to me about Maurkice Pouncey OC, Florida - With the Broncos obvious need for a center, some Denver fans are infatuated with trading down in the first or using our second round pick to select Pouncey.

However, Drew Boylhart from TheHuddleReport points out some serious flaws in his game and doesn't think he can play C at all but will be relegated to being an average RG... I'll summarize Drew's criticisms and then let me know if you guys agree or disagree with Drew's assertions:

- Lack of Intelligence - never changes blitz protections (particularly in the Arkansas game in which they blitzed right up the middle the entire game)

- Poor stance, one foot in front of the other means he's off-balance from the get-go

- Leans forward on running plays and backwards on passing plays effectively giving the play away

- Lacks foot speed to pull

- Lacks lateral agility to change directions unless he is holding onto his opponent

Thanks fellas!

- JW

I'd like to hear:

- a top-5 or top-10 of guys who will be 2nd year WRs next season

- discussion of when to take a TE next year (should I just wait and take Finley or is it worth it to go after a Gates or Witten?)

- discussion of who will be a break-out LB or DB next season (i.e., the Curtis Lofton of 2010)

also, what about matt jones?
Cecil put you up to this so he could play the cocaine clip, DIDN'T HE?It'd be cool to hear the Audibles take on some DEEP dynasty guys to grab right now - specifically I'm in a 16 team league, so deeper the better. WR's especially. Also, who do you think is the better stash-up in non-PPR - Edelman or Bandon Tate? Finally, which Washington WR do you think is in the best position to take advantage of Shanny being in town? Thanks.
