The Audible LIVE! - 11/07/2013 10PM ET (1 Viewer)

This is a league that I'm thinking about for next year. I'm looking for general feedback on how well it will work and what the potential problems could be. The specific questions I have right now are how will having 2 starting RB spots with 16 teams play out, and what should the auction budget be?

The idea behind a league like this is to put much more emphasis on the draft and planning for the whole season without having to deal with weekly head to head and waiver issues.

Here is a brief summary of the major rules:

16 teams. 17 weeks total points

no trades. no pickups.

25 man rosters. auction draft.

start: QB, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/T, W/R/T, K, DEF (every team must carry exactly 2 DEFs)

25 pass yd = 1, pass TD = 4, 10 rush yd = 1, rush TD = 6, 10 rec yd = 1, rec TD =6

Would you feel the need to try and upgrade your tight end to Gronk or Graham if you have a guy like Julius Thomas? What would you be willing to give to make that upgrade?

I'm in a 10 team 0.5 PPR league and desperately need a win this week to stay in the playoff hunt. I can only start 3 of the 4 RBs, which ones would you recommend: Spiller, Fred jackson, Mike James, Moreno.

Thanks, love the show!

Also, as far as TEs go, Gates or Reed for the the rest of the year.....

Romo or Rivers this week? (a luxurious dilemma lol)

Your thoughts on Tim Wright the rest of the season in standard and PPR leagues.

Thanks guys

Which team defenses are currently trending upward and which are trending downward? (What do we think of CIN now after the Atkins injury? How about NO and OAK?)

Any recommendations for sleeper FF Playoff D/STs? (BUF? CLE? TEN? DET?)

How much does the Aaron Rodgers injury effect the value of Jordy Nelson and Eddie Lacy? I've heard to expect Rodgers to be out from 3-6ish weeks. I really need him back by week 14(which will be about 5 weeks), does the doctor think theirs a realistic chance of that happening?

Thanks guys,

Big fan of The Audible

Im curious why you guys spotted Montee Ball as being overhyped and overdrafted cause of his Offensive line and system he was in. But we all missed bad on Trent Richardson?? Who I contend he is much like Montee Ball in that without a great offensive line he is nothing special. Please explain why we have missed so bad on Trent Richardson?

Help me get Julius Thomas (if healthy) in my line-up.

Standard PPR redraft all TD's 6 points. Start QB/2RB/3WR/TE/FLEX(RB/WR/TE)/K/DEF

Picked up Julius Thomas and Keenan Allen earlier this season.

Starters are

Cam

Lynch/MJD

J. Nelson/Antonio Brown/Keenan Allen

Gates

Andre Johnson (Flex)

Novak

Titans

Do I sit tight with my starters or make a move and plug in Julius?

Thanks and Stay Frosty!

Hey guys! First year playing in a keeper league (PPR) and I can keep one player. Now my question is what's the protocol when it comes to seeing if you can trade others you cant keep for picks? For example once this season ends I plan to keep Graham for a 3rd which means i still have Megatron for a 2nd and McCoy for a first. In scenarios like these is it wise to try to get a mid or late round pick next year or throw them back hoping you're fortunate enough to draft them again? Thanks guys and stay frosty!

AGS

gents, contract league question:

i'm making a push for the championship and thinking of offering doug martin (signed through 2017) to a team that has been eliminated for mccoy (signed through 2015). after trading ray rice i'm left with woodhead and lynch as my starters. i have both gronk and cameron so my flex is always a TE (1.5 PPR for TE) and i don't have to have 3 RBs starting, but i like acquiring depth in situations like these. wondering what you think of the offer, and beyond that what is your general attitude about losing value in trades for championship runs.

Do you think cutting ties with Matt Ryan in favor of a QBBC with Cutler-Big Ben is the right move? Even if he gets Roddy back I'm not too sure he's all there as a QB after seeing him make poor read after poor read and repeatedly forcing throws to covered receivers.

What does the future hold for Ray Rice. Is he temporarily stuck in the mud because of poor line play and the hip injury? Is he a buy or sell in dynasty and what is his value? Another way to think about it: is he on the verge of becoming Shaun Alexander who fell off a cliff, or can be a guy like Curtis Martin or Thomas Jones who keep cranking out thousand yards years into their early thirties?
