The Audible - LIVE (1 Viewer)

I hope this is the right forum, Mods.

I have been listening to the Audible Live on my iPod each week. When I download it into iTunes, it says it is 2 hours long. However, when I listen to it, it is only an hour (at the hour mark, it still says there is an hour to go, but it stops and goes back to the main screen). That's weird enough. However, just tonight I hit FF on the iPod and jumped ahead about 30 seconds according to the screen, but when I hit rewind I had to go back a good 10 minutes to get to the same place. I then stopped the show at the 16 minute mark, went back to the beginning, FF the show and hit the same spot in the program at the 11 minute mark. Anybody else have this issue or is my iPod possessed?

I'm gonna go ahead and vote for possessed. I just listened to the latest episode on my IPod today while mowing the lawn. No problems.

Yeah, every time I stop/start it on my iPod jumps ahead or behind (can't tell which) and the timing gets hosed up. You sorta need to just let it run all the way through. Also, the overall timing gets hosed up.The REASON it happens is that the BlogTalkRadio recording (not sure who encodes it to mp3) is done at an odd frequency (11.025 kHz Mono) instead of a more standard 22.050 kHz Mono. Most must you have will most likely be encoded at 44.100 kHz Stereo.Anyways...when you encode at odd frequencies, then the timing gets hosed... (Hz = 1/second)
