The Audible - NFL Draft Talk LIVE! 10pm ET (1 Viewer)

Say it ain't so John ... you brought something special to the game, but being a grandpa myself I understand!!!

Thanks for the memories.

If Stafford does go to Detroit, how will this effect Megatron's value this year?

As always, will be listen w/ my old friend....Jack Black

Gentlemen, the countdown to draft day continues with time coming off the clock slower than an Andre Smith 40. Despite this I am beginning to feel I will be caught short trying to absorb all the information you are putting out there and I haven't even attempted to crack Matt's version of War and Peace.

I seem to remember a lot of back and forth last year regarding the perceived draft value of Matt Ryan. He started his senior season highly rated but by the end of the year many draft pundits had soured on him a bit. Of course he ended up being taken at #3 overall and did not slide down the board as some had predicted. So I would like you all to put on your swami caps and predict a maligned player that will be vindicated in this year's draft. It doesn't necessarily need to be a first round prospect.

PS, I was thinking of you guys when I heard this stated by the Amazing Criswell in the movie Ed Wood;

Eddie, we're in show biz. It's all about razzle-dazzle. Appearances. If you look good, and you talk well, people will swallow anything.

You guys are looking good. Thanks for keeping it real!!!

Hey Guys,

I've heard good things about Jared Cook, but has his stock risen to the point where he's a first rounder? Do you think he's NFL-ready (immediate contributor) or will he require some adjustment to the pro game?

Also, I'm starting to warm up to what the Redskins are doing on defense. In looking over their depth chart, they seem to be a defensive end and outside linebacker away from being an excellent squad... (1) do you think they can fill one of those slots from where they are drafting, and (2) would you add more defense in the hopes of making one side of the ball excellent, or would you balance things by addressing the OLine?

Lastly, I'll happily be scolded by your expertise for what I am about to say, but every time I watch Mark Sanchez throw the ball I come away unimpressed. I wouldn't touch this guy with my first rounder. Why am I missing?

Thanks!

Thank you, Gentlemen! Though I hate that the Madden Era has come to a close, I hate more the thought of a weekly dose of Chris "poo-poo" Collinsworth. Can you guys please call those games via BTR?!

Anyway, the Chiefs backfield talk from last week caused me to look around a bit, and the prevailing view is that LJ is going to be released. You don't seem to be taking that view. Any extra insight? Is LJ a buy now (buy low) at present?

Quick hits re: RBs:

Does McFadden take over in OAK this year?

Whither Dominic Rhodes?!

Who has a better year in '09: Julius Jones or Cedric Benson?

Last 1-2 on WRs:

Can the NYG get both Braylon Edwards and Michael Crabtree?! What are the chances? Is Edwards a buy now?

Always winning,

The Riv

Many sharkpoolers have noticed that the whole FBG team that have posted their top 40 rookies so far, really have ranked Harvin low.

Both of you two guys (that's you, Bloom and Lammey) have him as your 9th WR. About how much of this (low) ranking is based on talent questions, and ho much is based on "issues"?

I also noticed not Dudley Guice or Deon Butler love in your top 14 or 15 picks, but both of you have Massaquoi listed.

Based on your earlier podcasts, I'm just a little surprised by this.

As always, you guys do rock.

This is a great TE class, IMO. I really like at least 7 of them. Who do you think will be the best FF TE over the long-haul? Also, what mid-round RB do you see as having the best chance to be a feature back (or the #1 guy in a RBBC).

Good to be on.

I didn't get to respond to Sigmund's point, but I would not be upset if the Jets took Pettigrew. And not just because Drinen might become a Jets fan. There's nothing wrong with having two stud tight ends, and Keller is not a traditional TE, anyway.

:yes:Unfortunately most of the Jets fans at RCMH are not as level headed as you are, but i think pettigrew would be an excellent use of the first

Hey Bloom, Cecil and Matt,

Are you guys going to do one of these following the draft? If so I have a pre-question, who would you take in a dynasty league (Non-PPR) Donald Brown or LeSean McCoy after we find out their teams. Thanks.

Yes! We'll also have a complete draft recap on the Audible.
