the Audible - week 15 - WAIVER WIRE SPECIAL (1 Viewer)

Cecil Lammey

Footballguy
Positional breakdown is how I feel about picking them up based on other WW pickups at their position (1: GET HIM, 5: avoid)

LT is the long term view for 2008 (1: a guy that will have value for the rest of the year, 5: a guy that may be good for a week or two)

Here's the list of guys we mentioned on the show:

QB

Kyle Orton/Jason Campbell, QB: 1, LT: 1

If either of these guys are available you need to pick them up.

Seneca Wallace, QB: 2, LT: 2

Why not just keep Hasselbeck down? the season is lost - give Seneca more PT!

Tarvaris Jackson, QB: 3, LT: 2

He looked better than Frerotte has in weeks, added bonus for rushing ability

JP Losman/Trent Edwards, QB: 4, LT: 4

ugh, Losman is terrible and Edwards hasn't played the same since getting knocked out against Arizona

Joshua Cribbs, QB: 3:, LT: 4

love seeing this guy line up all over the field, what does Romeo have to lose? Get Cribbs more QB PT

Andrew Walter, QB: 5, LT: 5

makes people long for Sam Keller

RB

Dominic Rhodes/LeRon McClain, RB: 1, LT: 1

Rhodes looks better than Addai out there, McClain is the only Bal RB you can count on.

DeShaun Foster, RB: 4, LT: 4

he does have St. Louis in week 16, but perhaps we shoujld be talking about Thomas Clayton instead.

Tatum Bell, RB: 2, LT: 4

With Hillis out for the year, TSpeed takes over. Watch out for Young returning and the Broncos should go more pass happy

Maurice Morris/Leonard Weaver, RB: 3, LT: 4

We love Weaver as he produces whenever he gets the ball, if Morris stays healthy he should get the ball more.

Darren Sproles, RB: 2, LT: 2

The Chargers win when they run more, LT2 can't get everything and Sproles is dangerous as a receiver/returner too.

JJ Arrington, RB: 2, LT: 3

Is the real RB of the future Arrington and not Hightower?

Turk (joke)

It wasn't a fake!

WR

Deion Branch, WR: 1, LT: 2

he is finally starting to payoff for patient fantasy owners.

Michael Jenkins, WR: 2, LT: 2

not elite like Roddy White, but capable of being very productive in PPR leagues.

Jordy Nelson, WR: 3, LT: 3

He's the #3 receiver now, not James Jones. the eventual replacement to Driver.

A. Randle-El, WR: 2, LT: 2

love the way this guy plays the game, good for a TD pass too!

Nate Washington, WR: 3, LT: 4

big play receiver, but inconsistent.

TE

Owen Daniels/John Carlson/Tony Scheffler, TE: 1, LT: 1

if any of these guys are out there pick them up and start them.

Visante Shiancoe, TE: 2, LT: 2

may be available, even if your waiver wire is bare naked.

Gijon Robinson, TE: 3, LT: 3

getting more looks from Peyton as the Colts are getting back on track.

Adding Reggie Williams JAX WR

W/ Jones out for the rest of the year, Williams should get more looks. Maybe good for 6/75 and a TD over the next couple weeks - if Gerrard can "step up".

Thanks, Cecil for posting your synopsis... I'm picking up McClain (Hillis replacement) based on your advice!

Will be interesting to see who of Williams, Walker, Northcutt, and Lewis step up in Jones absence.

listen to me sing Iron Maiden at the beginning :bag: :headbang: :bag:
Dickenson or Di'anno ? :headbang:
Di'anno although my impression had a Dickinson Live After Death feel...BTW, we're going to be doing a dynasty special at the end of the year where we can talk about the future prospects of several under the radar players!!!
Ooh any chance you can do the dynasty special before the end of week 16 so that we who still can may grab keepers before the league shuts down?

we'll put it on the schedule!

One more dynasty question - Does Seneca have any longterm potential next year in Seattle or do you think Hbecks back gets better? Wallace and Henne are on waivers and I am restocking for next yr's sleepers.

Henne over Wallace, but I could easily picture Wallace taking over Hasselbeck at some point next year.

Hey Sigmund Bloom...just in case I don't get to call in to the show tonight (Christmas party to attend), I have to thank you for the advice in week 6 not to drop Deangelo Williams. That was the best advice I've ever got in fantasy football. My first place finish in my league bears that out. Thanks man.

Who do you like better long term in dynasty - Zack Miller or Jon Carlson?
I like Miller, but I've been pleasantly surprised by Carlson. not by his production, but by the fact that he's stayed healthy this long. That was the one thing coming out of Notre Dame that I thought might hold him back.
