Wow. Just wow.

In a 1ppr league, this is how the top 5 cats imo are shaking out on a Point Per Game Basis:

Mike Evans - 15.9

Sammy Watkins - 14.9

Kelvin Benjamin - 14.1 (still to play tonight)

Brandin Cooks - 14.3

Odell Beckham - 16.4 (a lot of games played, but wow)

This class is unreal.

I kenw it was good, but on a PPG basis, this is certainly unreal. They're ALL in the top 25 in a ppg basis in PPR

I agree. This class of receivers is unreal. Add to those five John Brown, Martavis Bryant, Allen Robinson, and potentially guys like Jordan Matthews, Donte Moncrief and Cody Latimer . . . wow!

Edited to add: The WR Class of the 1996 Draft Class was one of the best I ever recall, including the likes of Keyshawn Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Terrell Owens, Eddie Kennison, Terry Glenn, Eric Moulds, Mushin Muhammad, Amani Toomer, Joe Horn, Bobby Engram and Jermaine Lewis . . .

How do you think this class compares?

Jarvis Landry looks good too.

Yes it's absurd. It was also coincidentally the best time for such talents to enter the league with such receiver friendly rules set in place this year.

On one of my redraft teams, I'm loaded with rookie WRs and I don't ever remember having so many on 1 team. I have Evans, Cooks, Robinson and Matthews. All of them have started for me at one point or another this season. It's crazy how good these rookie WRs have been.

obviously a little early to call it, but this class COULD surpass it... then again, we're talking about having to have HOF'ers emerge from this class

That 96 class was something epic... Id say it'll be hard to beat, but this class being better overall 10+yrs down the road wouldnt shock me, based on what we're seeing year 1

And don't forget Davante Adams. He not only made Carr a 2nd round pick in college but he also has the luxury of Aaron Rodgers in the NFL. I expect Randall Cobb to take his game either to the Jets or Seahawks next year.

Agreed. Time will tell. That will be a tough class to top. I recall loading up with receivers in my '96 fantasy draft, which also included guys like Derrick Mayes, Alex VanDyke, Mercury Hayes and Bryan Still. Interestingly, that 1996 draft was the last draft with no QB selected in the first round, and in addition to being a great WR class, it was a fantastic class of linebackers. When you consider that class included Jonathan Ogden, Ray Lewis, Zach Thomas, Eddie George, Willie Anderson Tedy Bruschi . . . and even an undrafted kicker in Adam Vinatieri, that wasn't too shabby a draft class.

Seems like Lee might be the only real bust in this entire class, if he doesn't turn it around. Good call, Xue.

Is it this new NFL, these new no-contact rules they're enforcing? Are more and more WR prospects going to hit? I realize this was a great class on it's own merit, but this is just ridiculous. Everyone is just producing, they're all plug-and-play.

Even mid-round surprises like John Brown, late gems like Ryan Grant, and UDFA like Allen Hurns all look like hits compared to their cost in the draft.

I wonder how this saturation of talent at the wr position affects their value moving forward. This next rookie crop of wr looks amazing as well.

Right? There are going to be like 30-40 valuable young WR's duking it out in rankings.

I know one thing, it's gotta help the QB's.

Heading into Week 13, I'll add another pretty important and intriguing stat for the Big Guys:

Yards Per Reception:

Mike Evans - 17.2

Sammy Watkin - 14.3

Odell Beckham - 14.85

Kelvin Benjamin - 14.77

Jordan Matthews - 12.7

Brandin Cooks - 10.4

And still leading all of them: Martavis Bryant at 20.06.

Ya, I didnt add him due to small sample size - Once he starts getting used more I would feel confident adding him.

Definitely a RZ threat, but I want to see more game usage
