Really? Cool, no problem then. The State Department I'll buy. The NYT has gotten too many things wrong (like the time they attacked McCain's nationality) for me to trust them without substantial backup."For starters, the Pakistan 'travel ban' is a complete fabrication based on zero evidence and completely contradicted by State Department records and a 1981 New York Times article." linkWho knows? At this point, I don't see how either side is going to settle this to the other's satisfaction.
a short form presented to whom? Maybe just slap one on your website, or sent to state election officials...Uh, no. I think a short form birth certificate plus other evidence like newspapers announcing your birth is reasonable evidence for people who are reasonable. For people who are not reasonable, there is no evidence that would be.By your sarcasm I am assuming that you agree with the resolution?Yes I am. I believe we should simply take people's word for it. That way, my scheme of achieving a one world government controlled by the United Nations will be that much closer to fruition. Are you against birth certificate identification?Well, first of all Lou Dobbs has questioned it on his show. Lynn Cheney, in an interview with Larry King, suggested that while she believed he was a citizen, there was certainly "a great deal of suspicion" which gave credibility to doubters. And some Republican congressmen, including a few from California, have put forth a resolution demanding birth certificate identification. So no, sadly, it's not just the Internet.
No, but I'll catch the replay in about 10 minutes here.Did you see G. Gordon Liddy on Hard Ball??![]()

letting a soldier off the hook on his duty, which allowed his suit to be dimissed
3. I think if the soldier refused to go to Afghanistan after volunteering, he should be court-martialed. But I don't know the details of this.
3. He refused his orders on the basis that he was unsure if they were Obama was legally binding as the President. his orders were revoked, and based on his deployment being revoked, his suit was dismissed.

You don't think BO has a tangible interest in his own birth certificate?I'm being fished, I know. Oh well.
My statement on #1 is based on what I have read. Per Wikipedia:
Noting "there have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama's official birth certificate", ####ino explained that the department was prohibited by state law from releasing it to "persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record." She stated: "No state official, including Gov. Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawai'i."[3][24]
So I should not have said "up to the hospital", I should have said "state law". But in any event it has nothing to do with Barack Obama. Do you have anything to contradict this?

Pakistan was not on the No Travel list in 1981.http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/passport.aspWell, the part that I've seen that hasn't been addressed to my satisfaction (and I hope you'll excuse some vagueness here, since I don't have the discussions right at hand to quote from), is Obama's travel to Pakistan as a private citizen. There's some suggestion that this was at a time that US citizens weren't allowed in, which would suggest that he'd used some other travel documents. Now, of course, some places do allow dual citizenship under certain circumstances, so it may be nothing. But I don't recall seeing that addressed, even to dismiss it out of hand.]
What do you find to be a reasonable basis for concern here which has not been addressed?Who knows? At this point, I don't see how either side is going to settle this to the other's satisfaction.
How dare you put the Vince Foster stuff in with those ridiculous conspiracies. Vince Foster somehow committed suicide by shooting himself in the back of the head. You heard me, the bullet enterend the base of his skull near the neck and exited through his cheek. Just make a little finger gun with your thumb and index finger and try to put that fake gun at the base of your skull/neck and aim upwards so that the bullet would come out of your cheek. Isn't easy to do. By the time the body was discovered his office had been cleaned out....all kinds of motives for the Clintons to see him depart the Earth....so much HARD EVIDENCE to conclude it was murder...but it just gets brushed aside because of cowards like you. It scares you to believe that your beloved Democrats might just be a teensy bit human. You people that live in fairy-tale land with candycane bridges with marshmellow cars who think the most powerful person in the world can't have someone whacked when someone threatens their power need to get out into the real world sometime. Rest in peace Vince. Not all of us are as naive as this guy. There always seems to be a fringe movement out there. When Clinton was President, it was the Vince Foster crowd. For most of Bush's term in office, it was the 9/11 Truther people. Now it's these Birther people. It doesn't seem to matter whether it's from the Left or the Right, these people always seem to be present and rather loud.

On another occasion, the same spokesperson for the state of Hawaii elaborated on state policy for the release of vital records: "If someone from Obama's campaign gave us permission in person and presented some kind of verification that he or she was Obama's designee, we could release the vital record."[28]
Really? I have never understood people who accept "other evidence like newspaper announcements". My daughter was born here in New Zealand, and it was announced in the newspaper in Mississippi and Indiana. Give me a couple days and I can have an announcement put in your hometown paper that Mortimer E. Tumbly-Wumbly was born in the local hospital. To me, all a newspaper announcement proves is that someone thought that some people where the paper is delivered might want to know. The birth certificate, I'm really confused how even after all this time, someone in Hawaii hasn't made the decision that perhaps someone, say Obama himself just to pick someone reasonable, has a 'tangible interest' in it. I mean, wouldn't (taking figures from elsewhere here) a million dollars be tangible enough? And yes, this may well beUh, no. I think a short form birth certificate plus other evidence like newspapers announcing your birth is reasonable evidence for people who are reasonable. For people who are not reasonable, there is no evidence that would be.

It was an absolute blood bath. But Liddy deserved it too. Chris Matthews absolutely OWNED him. Liddy had nothing. Um, this is exactly what makes you a Birther.nah, The requirement is in the Constitution, and I find it annoying and off-putting that they are just blowing it off. Personally, I think it's a stupid rule, but it's a rule, and they should make the effort to follow it and not make the effort to eschew it.Why don't you just admit that you're one of them? You'd marginalize their numbers, and you would demonstrate a respect for the written rules. At this point, no it wouldn't. The same nutcases would say it's forged or whatever other crap they would spew to justify their continued belief.Obama has spent over a million dollars keeping this conspiracy alive by refusing to release a long form birth certificate and then allowing that soldier to skip his tour of duty.
If he released the long form certificate, most of the birthers would go away.
G Gordon Liddy found it "suspicious" that the newspaper couldn't get the hospital straight (supposedly.)there was a birth announcment in the local paper in hawaii afer he was born. That is classic!Check out the letter to Sarah Palin:Another one stop shop for Birther lunacy: americangrandjury.org
Seriously? Should we really know of these people? Are you new here? Live in a cave for the past 8-10 years?Lou Dobbs? Lynn Cheney? I have no idea who these people are.Well, first of all Lou Dobbs has questioned it on his show. The only people that are talking about this are crazy people on the internet. I defy you to prove otherwise.
It's not new at all. It's old and practiced.1. Holocaust deniers have been making this argument for at least 50 years. Shouldn't we investigate whether Auschwitz really had gas chambers? The new approved method of attacking any issue is to not assert one bleieves it but that it would be irresponsible to not at least ask the question.
Do you have a problem with the U.S. running training missions with our allies?I was serious. National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09)I think it's part of the overall plan to turn the government of this country over to the United Nations. So?So how do you feel about British, Australian and Mexican troops running training missions on US soil? There always seems to be a fringe movement out there. I'm no birther, but let's not be totally dismissive. If I had a kid born out of the country, I would prefer that he was born in the U.S. I could see someone tempted to make a fake announcement. I know. Sometimes its best to provide others room to make your point. I do see an increase in the practice the last 20 years or so. Why not just become a naturalized citizen? There really wouldn't have been any difference for him except that he couldn't run for President. I mean, what you are suggesting is that his parents anticipated that an African man would become President of the US in 1961; and somehow they've convinced all these people of the lie or they are all in on it.Sweet J said:I'm no birther, but let's not be totally dismissive. because he was born in kenya, and his parents then ran an add in hawaii announcing his birh, and went abou getting fake documents so that one day he could bring his socialist islamic platform to the united statesDUHUndisputed facts:
President Obama has failed to make public his Certificate of Live Birth, choosing instead to produce a Certification of Live Birth. Until recently, the State of Hawaii wouldn't accept this as standalone documentation to qualify as a native Hawaiian as part of their Homelands program because this certification could be attained without being a native Hawaiian.
Obama or his legal appointee can more easily attain a copy of the Certificate of Live Birth (should it exist) than defend countless lawsuits seeking its disclosure.
