The Birther Conspiracy Thread (4 Viewers)

So I can't produce proof of where I was born. But wait, I forget. Both my parents were WHITE and married at the time...so nobody (on the Right) is going to question whether or not I was born in the Soviet Union or Eastern block. I natively speak English and my skin is pasty-white...so I'm good in the birthers' eyes, right?! I've got the right colored skin...so it's all flags and eagles soaring for this guy...
Is this the part of the thread where we counter the Birthers' flim-flam eligibility argument with an equally flim-flam everybody "on the Right" is a racist argument?
Everybody on the Right is racist? No. Vocal outliers in the birthers/Right being covertly/overtly racist, and the major talking heads in the Republican Party not doing much of anything to tell them to knock it off or say that they are off their rockers? Yes.Why is it whenever people shine some light on the skeletons in some closets out there, the INSTANTANEOUS trigger-response is to try and paint the world with a broad, black and white brush?! Or more accurately, paint the world with a broad, black brush (AKA the "other guys" are just as guilty of "it" as we are, so worry about your own skeletons before you start worrying about ours).

Seriously, I don't think you can mention the names "Bush and Cheney" without having an almost instantaneous "yeah-but" response of "Obama." Bush and Cheney fabricated evidence to go to war with Iraq, and took more civil liberties away from Americans post-9/11 than any administration in recent memory...so let's talk about "Death Panels" or the fact that Obama was "born in Kenya." How can people even stand to look at themselves in the mirror?

Both sides have deep, dirty closets they need to own and clean before they're ever going to get better. That said, is at least part of the roots of the entire birther debate associated with racism and prejudice along with politics? Absolutely...zero question in my mind. Does that mean I'm slamming ALL Republicans and calling them racist? Nope...not hardly. Rather, I am being critical of sane, non-"ist" Republicans not standing up and saying "enough with this silliness," just because they think the birther stuff in the news cycles will help them in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016...

It's always interesting to watch these types of threads develop. The side supporting Obama's position that he was born in a Hawaii hospital starts off with derision of the oppsoition backed only by a nefarious computer generated document that is laughable in some of its aspects (race: African for instance). Then we see some of the digging start as those on the opposite side begin to generate more and more evidence in attempting to prove a much more difficult negative position. Then we start to see the Obama story change (switched hospitals of birth), the Hawaii officials story change (saw the BC directly & one claimed to have been at the hospital when he was born to all the way to now that there is some kind of documentation that can't be described but it isn't a BC and that he was likely not born in a hospital), and in the meantime more evidence piles up to the contrary: Stanley Anne Dunham was never married to Obama Sr (there is no marriage certificate, which is public record), that Dunham and Obama Sr never lived at the address notated in the newspaper articles, that Dunham left for college in Seattle about 15 days after Obama's birth, that Dunham & Obama senior could not have possibly lived together for the 2 years prior to Obama Sr's departure. All of it points to a logical and reasonable conclusion, especially given the year of Obama's birth: That he was born of an unwed mother, and because he is mixed race and was born in the 50s that the birth was likely kept very low key and also likely happened at the home of Dunham's parents. That the newspaper stories of the birth that were planted two weeks after the birth were likely the result of Dunham's parent creating some kind of credible documentation for a baby that obviously was. And that none of this is tied in any way to any 50 year conspiracy that lead to Obama's presidency. And in the face of all of this we still have the dedicated Obots who now make their argument nothing more than :lmao: and "this is my best thread ever". It's like watching someone's religious beliefs attacked. The supporter can't provide any tangible evidence of the events but has such a strong faith that their version couldn't possibly be anything but 100% truth. It really is fascinating as the fairy tale dissolves and more and more facts emerge and proof of lies about the BC that those Obots simply can not change their position even slightly because of their faith and/or their inability to admit that they possibly could have been mislead. This is exactly what con artists like Obama rely on, that their supporters will continue to back an increasingly unsustainable position in the face of mounting evidence because they simply know better than everyone else.
So you think he is the Messiah?KooKoO KooKoO

The only thing ridiculous about this debate is a man who is President refuses to release the information which documents his birth. There are only two Constitutional requirements for someone to be President, and he is unwilling to provide the evidence to conclusively prove it. I could care less if a bunch of ignorant #######s try to mock this issue away. There is probably nothing here, but Mr. Transparency has a duty to release it.

There are actually 3 Constitutional requirements for someone to be President. I thought you guys had the Constitution memorized?

Honestly, I would rather see Mr. Transparency's school transcripts, something that he actually has access too. Why would the smartest man ever to hold the Office of President, hold back his school records?

Soon after the book's release, The Dallas Morning News reported that Hatfield was a paroled felon who had been convicted in 1988 of paying a hit man $5,000 to murder his former boss with a car bomb. It was also revealed that Hatfield pleaded guilty to embezzlement in 1992. Hatfield at first denied the allegations when his publisher confronted him, but he eventually owned up to his criminal history.

The Bush Administration did not release the transcripts of the energy summit, among others, because it invited industry leaders to speak off the record, without the pressures of their stockholders, environmental zealots, labor, and the media, dissecting every last word; without that sort of agreement, participation, or useful debate, was probably not achievable.

How to win and argument: Deflect and go on the offensive. That is the birther strategy. Rather than address the issue you deflect and then call the other side names for asking a legitimate question. Somehow birther has negative connotations like being a racist. Why? The deflect and go on the offensive is a tactic that the guilty use. If they had a legitimate birth certificate they would have produced it. The tactic smells like he has something to hide.

Side note: My daughter lives in Argentina and wants a work visa (like a green card). She had to send her birth certificate to state department so that it could be authenticated. Sending a birth certificate is SOP and should not be a big deal. She could not use the deflect and attack tactic with the state department. Why should Obama be any different. In fact shouldn't the standard be higher for POTUS rather than recent college graduate.

Side note 2: My brother had a friend who was in trouble all the time and he used that tactic all the time. He would steal something and when the clerk asked him about the stolen item he would go on the offensive. "Are you accusing me" or " how dare you". If the person isn't sure about whether he stole the item they would back off.

But Hatfield quotes "a high-ranking advisor to Bush" who confirmed that Bush was arrested for cocaine possession in Houston in 1972, and had the record expunged by a judge who was "a fellow Republican and elected official" who helped Bush get off "with a little community service at a minority youth center instead of having to pick cotton on a Texas prison farm."Tucker pointed out that there were no Republican judges in Harris County until 1979
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:And, yet 10 years later, this still gets recited and even gets two laughy faces when it's refuted, and I have no doubt that it will continue to be recited

Why do you care if he had a 3.3 GPA or a 2.3 GPA?
I think it's fair to look at things like this, during an election, when I'm deciding who is going to get my vote; it isn't like the candidates are coming over to my house, for a more personal review. I think that when the media runs with that John McCain graduated 5th from the bottom of his class, at Annapolis; then the public should know where Obama stood in his class.

[sarcasm] You know, maybe you could lead by example and change your user name at FBGs to your real name, then tell us your address and where you work. That way, those of us who are curious could find out pretty much anything we'd be curious to know about you. I'm not asking for your criminal record, your transcripts, etc. (we can get those on our own...without your help, lol). Just stuff like who your friends and family are, where you work, your supervisor's name (in case you're logging into the FFA between 8-5pm), etc. [/sarcasm]I know, I know...you're not the POTUS, who should be held to a higher standard. However, wouldn't it be refreshing if people calling for this type of stuff from others didn't do it as quasi-anonymous (they think they're anonymous, anyway) trolls behind their keyboards?!

You know I've thought about that too. Michelle is a pretty big woman; I always wondered who was driving who, in that relationship. I love when Michelle Obama, was at the inauguration, and Chris Matthews was comparing her to Jackie Onassis - more like Jack Onassis, IMO.

I get your post and the spirit it was offered in. It has just puzzled me as to why the big contortions by candidate Obama to hide his transcripts; if there is nothing to this story but academic accolades, than why the roadblock? It isn't like asking him for transcripts from his marriage counselor, or the likes.

Apologize for what? that I think Michelle Obama is manly? Go ahead and apologize, if it makes you feel better. BTW who said I was a conservative or that my viewpoint of Michelle is a conservative view? I could go and pull up a more than a few unflattering reviews of Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton, Linda Tripp, and Ann Coulter. Hey if it makes you feel any better, and for those keeping a notebook, my personal tastes would like Michelle if she gained about 300 pounds. I like my black woman fat, not built like a linebacker.http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...&p=12627940

I know. I just think it has to get really, REALLY old being constantly poked and prodded by the media and millions of anonymous individuals who understand probably 0.5% of what the POTUS (not just Obamas, but the Bushes, the Clintons, the Reagans, the Carters, etc.) has to put up with. The only analogy I can think of is with my business. Got asked to bid on some work for the State of New York. Had done work with 5-6 public institutions in the State before, and thought I knew what to expect. This particular prospective client then sent me an RFP that wasn't just asking for the usual info (proof of insurance, references, times/costs, etc.). They went much further...asking for things like photocopies of our last three corporate tax returns. I could easily have provided it! However, I took offense to even being asked for all of what they were claiming they "needed" (when I knew they didn't need it from my previous experience in the State), so I told them to go #### themselves and not to include our company on any more RFPs in the future. Let them ****-around with other people if they want to, but "homey don't play that." :topcat:That's probably 0.00000000000000000000000000000001% of the garbage that the Obamas have put up with the past 3+ years. I just wonder if people stop to think that they aren't just the POTUS and First Lady. They are sons and daughters, parents, aunts and uncles, friends, HUMAN BEINGS.

I'm more curious to find out who paid for his Columbia/Harvard education. There's no record of he or his family taking out student loans. Who was his sugar daddy?

The issue may have been solved

The fact that Obama was adopted by Indonesian Lolo Soetoro in the 1970s, and his name was legally changed to Barry Soetoro at that time, is most likely the reason he is spending millions of dollars to hide his birth certificate. He never filed the papers to change his name back to “Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.”, so any birth certificate produced by the state of Hawaii would list him as “Barry Soetoro”.
* Obama was indeed born in Hawaii in 1961

* Obama was indeed adopted by Lolo Soetoro in the 1970s

* Obama’s name was indeed changed to Barry Soetoro in the 1970s

* Obama’s birth certificate was altered per Hawaiian law to reflect his new name in the 1970s

* Obama never changed his name back to “Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.” — most likely because he used “Barry Soetoro” on all of his student aid applications for college, and probably received foreign student grants and admissions assistance playing off his years living in Indonesia

* All the records, transcripts, documents, and paperwork Obama continues to hide from the public is all hidden because it lists his name as “Barry Soetoro” on all of it.

* Obama will not allow his birth certificate to be released because it lists the “wrong” name on it: Barry Soetoro

That sucks. I also do business with the State of New York and have been offended at producing documents for them. Hey I could understand if the Obamas said that enough is enough but if I had the credentials that he is purported to have, I would have had those things handed out on every street corner.

You are entitled to think whatever you want. You certainly don't have to apologize for that. But calling her a man -- on this forum -- is crossing the line. IMO, of course. You and Joe Bryant may disagree. There are other forums where insulting language isn't tolerated.

I guess that doesn't apply to the post that immediately follows yours. I am pretty sure that Michelle Obama isn't reading this forum so I can't imagine that she is personally offended; I guess I can't say the same for all the members here, smitten with puppy love for her (or her husband).

We can question his judgment and intelligence all day, but seriously, how is this crossing a line? I had a similar discussion in another thread today.....but seriously, this isn't remotely close to some of the offensive stuff that people type in here all the time.....stuff that never gets frowned upon. So why is this so horrible? (btw - not at all agreeing with or justifying the comments in question. they were ridiculous, much like the poster in question, but IMO they don't come close to some of the stuff that is blatantly ignored all the time)

You are entitled to think whatever you want. You certainly don't have to apologize for that. But calling her a man -- on this forum -- is crossing the line. IMO, of course. You and Joe Bryant may disagree. There are other forums where insulting language isn't tolerated.
(btw - not at all agreeing with or justifying the comments in question. they were ridiculous, much like the poster in question, but IMO they don't come close to some of the stuff that is blatantly ignored all the time)
Thank you Alex P., and I wouldn't expect others to agree with me; it's just something that struck me about her, especially when she stands next to her husband. All the other stuff is just some off-color humor. I am tired of hijacking this thread though and for what it is worth, I think that Obama was born here and that question has never been a concern of mine.

I've always been curious about he and his wife's sex life. Why don't they release some info?
You know I've thought about that too. Michelle is a pretty big woman; I always wondered who was driving who, in that relationship. I love when Michelle Obama, was at the inauguration, and Chris Matthews was comparing her to Jackie Onassis - more like Jack Onassis, IMO.
You are a vile piece of filth. No wonder people think you RepubliKans are scummy idiots.

This might be the single best thing that I have read all month; you have made my night, thanks. :loco:

You are welcome.

This theory actually makes a lot of sense to me. Assuming this theory is true - not all the proposed facts listed above, but at least that his true legal name is Soetoro - the question would then be how or why does it matter.

I could see understand why Obama wouldn't have wanted all this stuff with a different name released - it gives the opposition a completely non-substantive issue something to yell and scream about: "He can't even tell the truth about his name, what else is this black foreign muslim socialist facist demagogue demon hiding from us?" On the other hand isn't Barry Soetoro a better name to run for election under than Barack Hussein Obama?

The only way I can see this being truly relevant to the candidate vetting process would be if he made false claims of nationality or residence on student aid applications in order to get better financial aid. That would be fraud and obviously relevant to moral character/fitness for office. Of course that issue really doesn't have anything to do with what his name was at the time.

I think people who believe that Obama wasn't born in Hawaii should have to walk around with some sort of visible sign on them, so they can be singled out as crazy folk in our daily lives.

Honestly, I would rather see Mr. Transparency's school transcripts, something that he actually has access too. Why would the smartest man ever to hold the Office of President, hold back his school records?
Why do you care if he had a 3.3 GPA or a 2.3 GPA?
I think it's fair to look at things like this, during an election, when I'm deciding who is going to get my vote; it isn't like the candidates are coming over to my house, for a more personal review. I think that when the media runs with that John McCain graduated 5th from the bottom of his class, at Annapolis; then the public should know where Obama stood in his class.
He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard law school. :lmao:
I have always been curious what his GPA was and why the effort to not release it; for a man who graduated magna cum laude it would seems like something he should be proud of.

:goodposting:
FERPA protects the privacy of people's transcripts in this country. A parent or spouse of a student that is an adult cannot even gain access unless permission is given. Why should the President give up every privacy right? If it's documented that he was magna cum laude, that should be good enough. It's easy enough to look up what that means at Harvard's web pages. It means he had at least a 3.74 GPA while there. Link

UPDATE: "I never talked to the governor. I misspoke. I am remorseful and embarrassed."

You do understand that "IF" the birthers are right, then this country is going to be in a world of hurt! And Obama's Birth Cert will be the least of our worries.

You then would have to question every elected official if the vetting process was completed correctly on everyone.

So John Boehner is asked on Meet the Press whether he scolds some of his congressmen for continuing with this Birther nonsense. And if he's concerned that, according to recent polling 41% of Republicans are suspicious about where Obama was born and if he's actually a Christian.

Boehner: "I can't tell people what to think."
