The Browns are after #johnnyfootball. (1 Viewer)

So they trade away a stud rb so that they can possibly have the chance to draft a player who will instantly be the most immature qb in the entire NFL?

Exactly !Edited to add: Except for the stud part.

Edited again to add: and the most Immature QB in the NFL part.

So really so they can have a chance to draft a player.

Manziel would become a meth addict if forced to live in Cleveland. Anyone remember Drexel from True Romance? That's Johnny Football after a few years on Lake Erie.

Read what you want to into it but..

Reports on Sunday's pregame shows was that the Brown's scouting team was sent to watch Johnny Football vs. Alabama.

No. Manziel won't be the 1st QB taken.

Probably not even the 2nd.

Maybe not even the 3rd.
True, but if they pick second and a QB goes first (I can't imagine them not going 1st or 2nd), then they could pick Clowney with the 2nd overall pick and a QB with the pick they just got for TRich....and that QB could be Manziel.

Nearly every NFL team had scouts at that game - both Bama and A&M are loaded with NFL talent and get scouted heavily when they play a strong team.

 but the reports on CBS pregame show were that they specifically sent scouts down to watch Johnny Football..

Since they didn't name sources it is hard to say how accurate the report was...

Then again, after what they've done in regards to drafting QB's for the past 10 years, I wouldn't put it past them. :oldunsure:

I have to imagine the Tebomaniacs are on another planet in this regard, but being from Texas I can say that the Manzidiots cloud my judgement with this kid way too much. I hope he goes to Cleveland and takes all of them with him.

I seriously doubt he would be the most immature QB in the NFL. We all tend to forget these kids are just that - kids. How many of us were immature and partied in college? And what's wrong with drinking a few beers, signing autographs, and being a little cocky? The kid has a chance to grow up some in the next couple of years, yet too many people think he will be stuck acting like a 16 year old.

Tebow 2.0
You apparently missed the perfect throws he made to Evans down the sidelines against the most talented team in the NCAA.
You apparently missed Tebow's college career. Threw plenty. Lil Johnny clearly has a better arm but Leaf had a cannon and so did Jeff George. Oh, and Evans is a freak and a matchup nightmare for even the most talented secondary personnel in the NCAA. Could he do it? Sure. Will he? Probably not. Am I rooting against him? Yep. He's got a lebronesque sense of entitlement that's nearly as pathetic as his cultish fan base.

Doesnt Manzell have to play one more year after this one to be eligible for the NFL draft? He was only a freshman last year

Manziel carved up the best team in the NCAA two years in a row. That guy is going first round as long as he doesn;t get injured or do something else stupid between now and the draft. More than likely a top 10 pick at least.

Doesn't anybody remember the draft from the last two years? Weeden? EJ Manual? Tannehill? None of those guys graded out very high this time of the year and look where they went. Every year a team falls in love with a guy and they go way higher than they should.

He's small and has character issues. He's not going in round one.

:blackdot:

You guys are nuts. 1st round easy.

I hope to God you are not referencing their first drive.
And if I was (yes, I was), then what? You don't agree that those throws were great throws?
Hell no. First time watching football? Both were dying quails that would have never been receptions were it not for the awful play of #10, a backup CB filling in for Balue.

Any decent CB would have intercepted or knocked down those passes. #10 didn't even turn around. I'm not saying Manziel didn't make some good throws, I'm saying that first drive was awful in terms of quality of the passes.

He's bigger than Russell Wilson.

The Star-Telegram's Charean Williams spoke with four NFL scouts that believe Texas A&M redshirt sophomore QB Johnny Manziel will be a first-round pick, with one stating "he will go in the top 10."
"I think Johnny Manziel is that good," the same scout said. "I think the guy is unique, and guys like Russell Wilson have paved the way for him." Another important note Williams added was not one of the seven scouts interviewed believe off-field concerns will affect Manziel’s draft stock. "There is a difference between being a criminal and being a knucklehead," one scout explained. "He’s a knucklehead. We have a lot of knuckleheads on our team." Sep 18 - 3:54 PM

It's not that JM isn't talented. It's just that Bridgewater and possibly UCLAs Hundley might be better pro prospects.
