Things we don't know, but act like we do, in no particular order

-> Do you claim to know the answers to any of these?

LT and Westbrook are done

SJax won't be any good this year

Dallas offense will be fine

Cutler will flourish in Chicago

Denver's passing game will suffer

Favre will perform about like he did last year

Cassel will be a bust

Forte and MJD will be top 5 backs

The Colts will not return to form

Cedric Benson will not be good

Kevin Smith will be good

Roddy White will put up good numbers again

The RBBCs that are the most murky (not counting New England of course)

Kansas City

Cleveland

NYJets

Baltimore

Pittsburg

Dallas

I don't know why he is being questioned more than any other receiver that performed well last year. Two straight seasons of very solid performance, with improvement in his second season. Plus, his QB is a year more matured.

LT and Westbrook are done --> Both will do well enough to worth taking them where they are getting drafted.

SJax won't be any good this year --> SJax is good every year.

Dallas offense will be fine --> They should be fine NFL wise but may not translate into a ton of fantasy studs.

Cutler will flourish in Chicago --> I vote no on this one, at least for 2009.

Denver's passing game will suffer --> If "suffer" means worse than last year, I guess. But I think they will still be above average and put up more total passing production than CHI this year.

Favre will perform about like he did last year --> I don't see him doing much better.

Cassel will be a bust --> I don't think he'll be a bust, I just don't think he's the guy that was lights out at the end of last year.

Forte and MJD will be top 5 backs --> No to Forte, yes to MJD.

The Colts will not return to form --> I'm not even sure what this means. The're record and production have been consistent, so I say they will be off by a shade.

Cedric Benson will not be good --> He will be ordinary and put up so so numbers.

Kevin Smith will be good --> I say top half of the league in terms of RBs, so slightly above average.

Roddy White will put up good numbers again --> Yes.

The RBBCs that are the most murky (not counting New England of course)

Kansas City - I don't even count this as a RBBC in that LJ will get a huge chucnk of the workload.

Cleveland - Lewis is still the guy unless he is terrible.

NYJets - Jones loses some touches to Washington and Greene.

Baltimore - Rice looks to be the one to get the most looks.

Pittsburgh - I think FWP is not getting enough love and will get more work than many are expecting.

Dallas - Barber should be the lead dog and Jones and Choice combine for only 25-50% of the touches.

Thanks to all for their feedback. Here's some of my thinking...Here's my top 10 backsAdrian PetersonDeAngelo WilliamsSteven JacksonLaDainian TomlinsonMichael TurnerMaurice Jones-DrewFrank GoreBrandon JacobsBrian WestbrookMatt ForteSteven Jackson is second only to ADP in "amazing" factor. The Rams have a REAL head coach now. I do not understand the wringing of hands with regard to Bulger's injury. The only Cowboys worth taking are Whitten and Barber.

Moreno with be ROY and Eddie Royal is undervalued.

Jaguars value is with Garrard and Holt; not with MJD.

I will likely overpay for Fred Taylor and Chris Baker.

LJ, Rice and Parker are probably good value today.

Rice is an extremely good value play..Brian Westbrook has no business being on anyones top 10 RB list. his goose is cooked.

and as someone else pointed out, SJax is continually a preseason top 10 RB favorite, but only once has he finished in the top 10 at season's end. <wondering when people will see the light> Missing 4 games in each of the past two seasons and only once finishing a full 16-game schedule is a trend..there seems to be a double standard with Sjax..people will knock other 'injury-prone' players, but when it comes to Sjax, you don't hear that...

I would summarily dismiss anything the Lambs will try to do this season, they're still going to be one of the 3 worst teams in the NFL, they have no Wr's worth mentioning, and that will cause them to see 8-man fronts every offensive down of every game..and that's not even considering Bulger's injurires, the weak O-line, the putrid defense, etc..

If I had to bet, I'd put my chips on Ray Rice rushing for more yards, tds, and catching more balls than Sjax this season..

aside from 2006, Jackson's career numbers are roughly 1000/6 with 38 recs/yr. :lmao:

I think Cedric Benson can do that. I think J. Jones can do that. TJ can too..LJ will have better numbers than SJax..heck, even Tim Hightower might rush for 1000 and 8-10TD :goodposting:

I'd put Pierre Thomas ahead of Sjax, Bush is ,once again, dinged up..

Steven Jackson has scored the third-most points of any RB over the past four seasons, behind only LT and Westbrook, DESPITE missing 9 1/2 games during that time. It's hard for me to believe how unaware people are of just how good Jackson is. Even if he misses a couple of games and you start a mediocre backup on those weeks, you're going to end up with what amounts to one of the top 2-3 backs in the league every single season. If I knew Jackson was going to miss exactly 4 games this season, I would still take him in the first round or early second. If he plays a full season, he's almost guaranteed to finish in the top five.

LT and Westbrook are done no yes

SJax won't be any good this year PPR STUD

Dallas offense will be fine fine no...good yes

Cutler will flourish in Chicago yes

Denver's passing game will suffer Denver will suffer all over

Favre will perform about like he did last year yep

Cassel will be a bust yes....for the price paid

Forte and MJD will be top 5 backs no and no

The Colts will not return to form no

Cedric Benson will not be good yes

Kevin Smith will be good no

Roddy White will put up good numbers again yes...better
IMO
