 Go black if you must. Rick Owens makes some awesome leather jackets: http://www.mrporter.com/product/303480
I can only see one of the original links there...but I would go for something like this (and still have $2800 in my pocket vs Major)http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod45940074&parentId=cat213524&masterId=cat263500&index=31&cmCat=cat000000cat202802cat000024cat263500cat213524

I wouldn't be caught dead in that rubbish :yucky:

I'm a looking to get a light gray suit for summer. Is a notch lapel better than a peak on a slim fit jacket?
Either one is OK really. Peak lapels are back in :style: but they have a tendancy to more regularly be out because the size and location of the peak changes by designers. Same thing with double breasted...its in now, but will it be in 2 yrs still? Doubtful. If you plan to have the jacket be a long term investment, than go with notch lapels as its safer. If you foresee it as a 2012-2013 wear only than peaks are definitely in right now.

I'd like to get some feedback on the ski cap look.

Lastnight I saw about 12 college dudes at the bar wearing knitted ski caps.. it was 89 degrees. In Texas.

If I were to give this a go, can someone tell me why I would stop at the cap? Why not gloves and a scarf to match?

I'll never understand this in hot climates like Tejas. Even better when these DBs where their beanies to the gym.

I know there's a big movement amongst hipsters and fashionistas regarding cargo shorts but I think if you can find a pair w/o bulk, you're good: http://www.mrporter.com/product/180184

Unfortunately, I think most of you slobs revert back to your A&F days and wear crap like this: No need for all the pockets, chief
$565. :lmao: :lmao:
I think I'm pretty numb to high end pricing, but this... is making me rethink that. I'm sure they're some mean shorts. They better be impeccably made. $565 however. Holy crap. How is that not a joke? Also you guys can sway me (or not) on getting this dress (I'm female, lest that be any point of confusion). I would definetely :style: (getting the hang of this) it differently than pictured...more congruently. LOVE that dress, it's just hard to drop $122.

I dig that dress... Sometimes you gotta spring open the wallet, as long as the item is high quality (will last a long time).

If looking for casual, get notched. If you want dressier, get peakedI personally would go for notched
I'm a notched guy. For a tux, maybe. Just make sure the lapels are narrow. Don't want to look like Charlie Rose unless you're his age.

I bought a lighter version(non wool/lighter grey) this recently. Theory makes a nice slim fit blazer that won't break the bank. You can find them on sale for about $250 online/sale or $500-600 retail.

So I made the transition from crew neck to v-neck t-shirts a year or so ago. One of the best decisions ever.

However, I am not sure what to do when I am wearing polo shirts casually in the summer. It seems the necks are too open and you can see part of the v-neck, which looks horrible. However, I feel like the front can open up too much for me not to wear a t-shirt.

What should I do?

Major used to buy V necks and cut them himself. Mow places like American Apparel make good low cut V's that won't show.

You need to find a brand with really low V-necks. The thinner the shirt and lower the V-neck, the better, imo. I found one but can't remember the brand right now. Or yeah, get some scissors.

Maybe check out some zappo's reviews and look for mention of it.

What kind of pants, shirt shoes? Tie??? Hat for sure (racetrack). All black would be dope, but it's almost getting away from the obnoxiousness. What about some green pants?

skip the v-neck. how big can the neck be on your polo shirt? maybe you need a smaller size?

Usually just go undershirtless during the spring/summer when wearing a polo or dress shirt at the clubs.

Deep V-neck search will answer your question.

That's my buddies company. He wore a jacket like that yellow big bird pants and a green shirt to our 20 year. Great stuff

I'm familiar with Fashion Toast through being in the polyvore community. Her shoots often inspire sets there. My favorite blogger is Keiko Lynn though, because her range of taste and what suits her look naturally is closer to mine. She can teeter on being a little too schticky at times, but generally she's my girl.
