The five greatest mysteries this board has ever seen (1 Viewer)

The number 1 current mystery:

Does Timscochet get paid to post here on FBG.com?

Here's the case for him getting paid:

1. Repetitive topics

2. All the meaningless draft threads

3. Most of his posts are cut and paste or summarizing someone else thoughts

4. He has to be on some sort of word count per post

5. Incessantly ends posts with questions to generate more discussion and more posts

6. No one would possibly have a reason to post that much if they weren't getting paid

Let's face it. He's getting paid to be as annoying as hell.

Tim's drafts are fun.
They aren't fun. But, let's entertain that line of thought and pretend they are fun. How many posts per day do those draft threads account for? He has still got 20 other 100 word posts per day. No one has that kind of time. NO ONE.

I did a timdraft for the first time after the new year and loved it. The second one I did was less fun, but still fun. The third one, going on right now, has been great. Have you done one?

Glad to know that uninsured people get healthcare! Whatever is all the fuss about, then? I assume you dropped your needless coverage.

And he reads 100 books a year.

FTR, I don't have a problem with draft threads. It's all pretty volunteer. Completely different than coming into a football or political thread and ruining it.

Sorry to mention the drafts. Let's get back on topic to the 30+ posts per day. That is astonishing. Please confirm that he gets paid to post / cut and paste that much. Seriously, its got to be like 3,000 or so words per day. All on the same 3 or 4 topics over and over.

Yep. The drafts slows him down from dumbing up other threads.

The guy has 66,986 posts with 98 likes. That means that someone likes about one out of every 700 of his posts. Sounds about right.

Has anyone ever met Tim? I'm as boring, anonymous and antisocial as they come, and even I've met 5 or 6 of you ########s. It would be weird if he hadn't ever met anyone considering how much time he's spent here.

I'll meet him for lunch in Irvine if he's up for it

I did, but he called himself Joe Bryant and tried to sell me a boat. The whole thing was weird.

I always assumed that some rival website was paying him to kill off this place by boring us all to death.

Joe T is annoyed with my political views. I find that most people who criticize me for too many posts or for being boring are people who take issue with my politics. After all, these are really bogus concerns aren't they? If you're not interested in discussing politics with me, no one is forcing you to do so, or to read any of my posts on the subject.

I've explained several times in the past how and why it is that I've come to post so often in this forum. It's no mystery but I don't feel the need to do so again, or to justify myself in any way. Except to write this: no topic I have ever started, or offered my opinion about, is anywhere near as boring as spending time questioning and complaining about how many posts somebody has written.

So you are getting about 10 cents a post?

Or is it based on word count?

In my heyday I was around 30 posts a day. I never got a penny.

Tim is definitely getting paid to post here. Joe and David know the FFA carries the site during Dec-July.

I did not read the whole thread so my apologies if this has been metioned -What about the comings and goings of Finless? Everyone is salivating over AZ Ron's "Loaning a Chick $" thread......yet it pales in comparison to the entertainment Finless provided.Come back Fin
:sadbanana:
