Id much rather see this Subscriber League idea moved in the direction that I think many of us Forum Regulars enthusiastically registered for, deliver what we expected, if possible - that is, a mega-League format, culminating in a Tournament (which this is) where we'd be competing primarily with guys we've interacted with for decades, along with fbg's staff (which this currently isn't, but I think could fairly easily become).
I'm not the guy anyone wants creating/setting up anything, and I just can't be in any more Leagues, particularly free or low-stakes. I just have too much at stake in the National Contests, and my participation and interest would be disrespectful to everyone else involved.
I'd just like this one to be more like what I think a lot of us thought we were getting involved with when we signed up...and I think there might be a reasonable amount of time, and a not-herculean amount of effort to make it happen.
I'm fairly certain that the overwhelming number of Premium Subscribers who don't participate in the Shark Pool or FFA couldn't care less whether any of us Forum Regulars are in their Leagues or not.
On the other hand, for those of us who are Forum Regulars, being in a League with each other, as well as Staff Members, means a great deal.
I would be very happy to help sift through all the Leagues that have been created and pull out all the Forum Regulars and put them in Leagues together, with one or more Staff Members, and put all the Premium Subscribers who are not Forum Regulars together in their Leagues.
So, we'd still have this mega-League Format with Playoff Tournament, involving all the Leagues, but some Leagues would be comprised majority Forum Members or majority non-Forum members, with Staff Members spread evenly across all Leagues.
That, I think, would benefit the whole Forum Community the most.
Again, I'd be more than willing to donate as much of my own time and energy necessary to making this happen.
