Defense

1 point per 2 defensive tackles (.5 each) (Defensive players only)

2 points per Forced Fumble

2 points per Safety

4 points per Fumble Recovery (from opponent)

6 points per Sack

6 points per Interception

6 points per Defensive TD

Our league is 4/5 (2.5 solo, 2.0 asst). I voted 3/4.

My main IDP league tries to mimic the NFL stats as close as possible so we give a TK and an ATK the same points but we have a pretty detailed and frequent bonus system. Within that system the bonuses are half for the ATK as compared to the full TK bonuses.

Agreed.I think the results for tackle points are interesting where it's a pretty even split between 1 and 2 points. That's a pretty significant difference between the two since so many IDP points come from tackles. It can nearly double the value of the top IDPs in those leagues.

All IDPs are scored the same

solo tackle 1.2 pts (answered 1.25 pts in poll)

assist 0.4 pts (answered 1/4 of solo in poll)

sack 3 pts

pass defensed 1 pt

INT 1 pt

forced fumble 1.8 pts

fumble recovery 2.2 pts

safety 4 pts

defensive TD 6 pts

block punt 3 pts

block FG 2 pts

block XP 1 pt (answered other in poll)

Tackles for loss only just started being kept (last year I think) by MFL our league is about 7 years old so it was not included in the scoring when it was set up. But we give points for pretty much every other "normal" defensive play.

I think next year I will suggest adding the tackles for a loss since the stat is now track-able.
