The latest trend in Japan has turned body modification on its delicious, cream cheese filled head. We thought things were getting crazy when people started getting elf ear surgery, but Japan had to prove once again that they're weirder than the rest of the world. (At least elf ears can be hidden under long hair—you'd need some serious bangs to cover up a bagelhead.) Although compared to surgery and piercings the bagelhead effect is kind of tame, since it only lasts a day. The bagel shape is achieved by holding a finger in place while saline gets injected into the forehead by a professional tattoo artist or piercer… not a crazy baker, which would have been my first guess.Bagel-heading,

My niece - beautiful mother of three, went to a top shelf design school - is self-employed as a tattoo artist, and specializes in ear plugs. Google image ear plugs.

I feel old, get off my lawn, etc.

ear plugs/lobes is one thing.sitting for a few hours to get enough saline pumped into your forehead that it resembles a cheese danish for one day just strikes me as a pretty bad idea. Not to mention infection etc. :shrug:It's like this is the look they are going for

I didn't click on your other links, and I'm not clicking that one either. Understood, it looks weird - and it may be unhealthy or unsafe. But ear plugs that are up to 70 mm are pretty effing weird as well.

It something I don't understand, and that's OK. I don't need to, and I don't want to be exposed to it.
