The Left’s endorsement of harassing those they disagree with - this will not end well (1 Viewer)

I try to stay out of these fishing thread but my word this is just over the top.  We just came off 4 years of the harasser in chief.  It's real rich someone from the right calling out the left for this
“Beat the hell out of ‘em and Ill pay your legal fees!”

Wait, what? Good for who?

Exactly.

It is hard to believe that someone here would applaud harassing elementary school children with their parents in the front of their school. But I suppose that nothing should surprise me anymore in this forum.

There would be many more GOP no votes now so that represents a move to the right.

Ok?  So just to be clear, one policy stance that 66% of Republicans didn't agree with at the time now represents a shift to the right if 70% of Republicans don't agree with that stance today.  Any other policies or is just that one enough to say that we can now say the GOP has moved right.

It's almost as if it's bad to harass people while they're using the bathroom, and it's also bad to harass people at school board meetings.  The common theme here seems to be that harassing people is a bad thing to do in general, regardless of which tribe they belong to.

Choosing to use a restroom and/or a restaurant and fulfilling your duty as a public servant at a school board meeting are two rather separate actions.

People have a right to express their discontent with those elected to represent them.  That is what that forum is setup to allow.

These strawmen motions really do not enhance your position.

If three people followed AOC into a bathroom and did that, she would be on Instagram within the hour telling everyone she was being stalked and crying.

And even if she did not do that, You can be sure you wouldn't see conservative media running all day encouraging people to keep that activity up. They wouldn't give it air time and recognize it.

And if they DID recognize it, you wouldn't see extremely high-ranking political figures , like the POTUS) saying "it's part of the deal".  There is a real issue here.  Every single time Joe Biden has an opportunity to lead and help (to use his words) "heal" us and "bring us together", he does the opposite.  He is very divisive.

That she turned into what she once organized protests against.

There's no Sinema thread (that I could find) so I put it here
You're assuming it's Sinema who has moved and not the party.  She may have moved some as I'm no expert in her history, but the Democratic Party of today is not the same as the one I often voted for in the 1990s and early 2000s.
