The Lego Movie - MUST SEE (1 Viewer)

Watched this flick today. Great movie, not just for kids. The last act really pulls parents in and the comedy was really well done throughout the movie. Tons of cameos, but one was just AWESOME. Really surprised they got that one in. Son wants to see it again, and so do I.

I thought it was good. Not sure it is a must see. Adult humor was well done and I'm trying to figure out who the awesome cameo was

I don't know if this is a spoiler but -

I enjoyed the appearance of the Millenium Falcon and them being swallowed by the planet monster.

It was decent. Nothing great. A decent flick. Some decent laughs etc.

I don't need to see it again. Nor will my son (9).

And yes…..Everything is Awesome!! LOL.

Im down. I like anything pixar has done. Saw wreck it ralph on saturday and liked it
I still think Pixar hasn't done anything worthwhile since Shrek, but to each his / her own

I posted in the movie thread. . To me this movie was perfect for the genre. Absolute 5 out of 5 for me. And the end was very much a Field of Dreams wanna have a catch type ending.

This will be a purchase to have in the house que when it comes out.

My wife and I don't have kids, and we enjoyed it. Saw a 9:30pm show and there wasn't a kid in the place. Good times.

My 19 and 15 year old kids want to see it. I think I will enjoy it also.

Will my girls (5.5 and 3.75 years old) be able to enjoy it / follow it?

I keep hearing how most of the jokes are for adults and will be over their heads.

Great movie, my 6 year old loved it and I really enjoyed it as well.

can we get a OP check in on the AWESOME cameo??

Agree, good flick. Seeing that after the Nut Job restored my faith in kid flicks. What cameo are your referring to?

I'm guessing the Ron Jeremy cameo?

I thought the lego penis was a bit too much for a kids movie though.

Girlfriend and I did the same thing and we both thought it was a really good movie that had a really fast pace with the perfect amount of time for specific scenes/moments.

Kids movies are doing this, with lots of adult jokes. I think of it as a way to keep the people paying interested. This movie has tons of both. I went on Friday with one of my boys (10) and we loved it. My 11 y.o. went yesterday and loved it too. We have some cheap tix for a theater and they jumped at the chance to go again so their mom and sister could see it.

We got to see it in one of those theaters with the seats that move. (When the scree pans up, you tilt back and such. And when there is gunfire and explosions the seat rattles.) That was fun for this type of movie!

Saw it on Sat. 10 year old thought it was ok, was a bit disappointed since he had very high expectations. 8 year old liked it more but still not must see for either of them. I was disappointed as I had much higher expectations, ie Despicable Me 1 or 2 level is what I was expecting. I thought it was ok, not a must see, can certainly wait until it comes out on blueray.

How young is too young to take a kid to a movie? I've been itching to take my 2.25 year old to something so I can eat an unhealthy amount of unhealthy popcorn.

Took the kids this weekend and they liked it a lot. It was the stillest my 6 yr old has ever sat for a movie. (didn't move the whole time).

I thought it was good, not blockbuster or Toy story level.

Perhaps as soon as they get old enough to "get" movies and not cry all the time? As long as you're taking him to a "kid movie" then you're good. People can't really complain (although I'm sure they do) if there are kids in a showing of The Lego Movie.

Parents taking kids to Wolf of Wallstreet or whatever is what pisses me off.

My 18 month old plays with the Duplex blocks (not technically Legos, but pretty damned similar). Anyone know if he is old enough to attend?

I spend 1/3 of my life working, 1/3 sleeping and 1/3 helping build/picking-up/stepping-on/looking for lost Legos. If we didn't have bad colds going through the house, me and my 10 and 5 year-olds boys would have seen this over the weekend.

Took my 9 year old while my wife and daughter went to see Frozen again.

Thought it was great...son wants to see it again with my wife. Though, we may not convince my 6 year old daughter since we have been annoying here with the Everything is Awesome song a bit much.

lol

My wife, at dinner last night: "Worm, how is dinner?"

Me, in full out singing voice: "Everything is awesome!"
