The Lions aren't addressing their BIGGEST need (1 Viewer)

Yes, QB was a need. However, now with 1/3 of the leagues backups on their team they still haven't addressed their biggest need. I'm sure we all agree that they need OL help. They really haven't even looked for it. The only offensive Lineman they have brought in to take a look at is Kevin Barry of the Green Bay Packers, who by the way re-signed with the Pack on Wednesday. So what are the Lions doing? Do they hope to pick up a franchise Tackle in the draft? If so that's a big if. I don't understand the logic. Maybe I am missing something, If so please tell me.

 :wall: :hot: :yucky: :loco: :X :bag:

Kitna this, McCown that....... Roy Williams this, drafting a WR that...... Martz this, Millan that..... None of this will be of any significance if they don't improve that OLine. I would not disagree with anyone in their right mind that Harrington is NOT GOOD and Garcia ran around like he was chasing a Playboy bunny. They made their decisions but the line was the factor in many of those decisions. Kitna will stay in the pocket and likely make much better decisions. Best of Luck to the Lions. I think their offense has off the chart potential but they need to upgrade the line..

Is that your response to everything Lions? I have seen that statement elsewhere.

No way. QB is their biggest need and I'm sure they knew they had to clean house. They need a new RT and some better depth. In case you didn't notice, this is a great year to pick up O-line help in the draft.

We'll see if Millen & company are smart enough to do that.

It's been one week into free agency. Relax a bit.

If come August they still haven't done anything to upgrade the o-line, then :wall:

to your heart's content.

Barry? Please: they already have a boatload of Barry-type lineman on their team.

If Martz influences anything, he isnt afraid to go after offensive lineman in the draft. You will probably see 2 round on, the Lions pin point lineman. IMO.

They haven't addressed their biggest need? I know. Millen is still there.

:wall:
You're getting closer..........it's the owner, Ford. The problem is way bigger than an offensive line.Folks, they have won just one game in the playoffs since Super Bowl 1. To think it's anything else but ownership is just plain wrong. They're freaken clueless.......and having and letting Matt Millen stay where he's at is just the most recent example, not the entire problem.

There are impact O-Linemen out there to grab?
:tumbleweed:
:goodposting: who exactly were they supposed to have signed by now?

they resigned backus because - *gasp* he was the best LT option out there...there is NO ONE available to replace them. Further, people keep forgetting that the entire OL came out publicly and complained about the coaching schemes once Mooch was fired and that they played better in the last few games when the playbook for them went from a phonebook to a more manageable size. They will go after at least one Olineman in the draft, and continue to develop what they have. if someone magically becomes available via free agency, i'm sure they'll make an effort.

Even is it's overpaying a little in the draft assuming DBrick is gone they have to grab Winston Justice, taking a flyer on a 2nd/3rd round pick won't suffice.

I see our distinguished OP has no response to this glaring hole in his rant. it's easy to whine....please tell us all what Millen should be doing right now that he's not.
I agree: who should the Lions be signing right now on o-line that would stop people from :wall: I don't see anyone out there worth getting excited about. Runyan? maybe. But why hasn't he gotten any love yet from ANY team? Because he's overpriced at the moment.
