The OUT Due to COVID List: PLAYOFF EDITION (Save your szn thread) (1 Viewer)

I thought the team would have to forfeit only if it was due to unvaccinated players.
That is the rule.  What exactly that means in more open to interpretation. What if the first player on a team to test positive was unvaccinated, then a bunch of vaccinated players test positive. Is that rules the unvaxxed players fault?  No idea. Obviously if a team has a lot of unvaxxed players its pretty easy to make the call, but its likely to be more in the grey.

I'm guessing no one forfeits though. Is anyone in the position they literally dont have enough players to field a team?

If this was Pittsburgh, they’d worry about that on Tuesday
Yeah right,  like the constant scheduling and rescheduling was to favor to the Steelers last year.  It was the Steelers that were jerked around several times last season due to Covid outbreaks on other teams.

In any case the NFL said they weren't going to reschedule games this season.  It is a shame that any team has to go through this but I don't see a good alternative.  As I said, the number of Covid cases are going up,  you could be in worse shape by postponing to Tuesday

Washington now has 18 players on the COVID-19 reserve list. Cleveland also has 18, and the Rams have 16 players on the COVID-19 reserve list.

NFL Week 15 Reserve/COVID List for FF Playoffs

Heading to the playoffs this week for the first time in three years and I just lost Waddle and Lockett within hours of each other.

I know..... :ptts:
Ditto and Higgins is Q with E Moore and AJ Brown already down. I've got 1 questionable WR at this point and need to fill 2 WR spots and drop a couple studs to do it. Oh well.

@DanGrazianoESPN

As Roger Goodell insinuated in his press conference Wednesday, there could be COVID-19 protocol changes coming in the next day or so that make it easier for vaccinated, asymptomatic players to return more quickly following a positive test. Could even help teams this week.

 @BradyHenderson

Reminder: Vaccinated players can be cleared to return with two negative tests taken at least 24 hours apart, provided they're also asymptomatic. As Pete Carroll reminded us yesterday, the newer rule is that the second negative test can't come on game day. It has to come before.

Just a reminder: If you have a flex position, I’d keep that open as long as possible. Meaning, if you are starting a RB/WR tonight, Saturday, or even in the 1pm games, I’d play them in their position slot before you play them in the Flex, leaving that open for flexibility in case you have last minute COVID issues. That way you have more options for the last second replacement.

This good advice in general.  I always try to put in my latest starter into my flex spot, just in case it needs to be changed at the last minute.

This is crazy!!!!!  The way things are going the list of players who are not in the Covid protocol might end up being smaller than who is available. They might have to start bringing back retired players. Frank Gore can probably do what AP is doing.

The 3 games being moved to Monday-Tuesday created far worse issues if you are in a league that does not allow FCFS waivers. At least if your player tests positive Sunday you usually have some protection but that's far less likely on say Tuesday.

Why aren't these guy's locked in their homes during the week? Go to practice then go home. Have everything delivered. I'm talking more the last couple weeks where it was obvious the numbers are spiking.
