I think it’s more than that.  Is it a reaction to their condescending nature or cringe worthy attempts to relate to Americans? Remember the gay stereotype video or how about the staged vaccine video?  It hurts that nobody in the Administration comes across as likeable.  For someone that has 50+ years in DC, his administration makes way too many unforced errors.

I am a hard line Conservative and I still do not agree with the FJB and LGB chants. However I also believe people have the right to free speech and that speech, even if some find it repugnant, should be protected.

Would I have a problem with a venue removing people who are making those chants? No, I don't. If it's a private business then that's their right to refuse service. However in the cases where the venue is publicly funded or something considered a public area, that's a different story. For example, the chants are happening at NBA arenas. Many of those new digs are being paid for, in part, with public money. IIRC, the SF Giants paid for their own stadium. That's an entirely different matter.

What I do support is widespread demonetization.

If you are unhappy with Joe Biden and you have a negative opinion of his performance as the sitting POTUS, then demonetize everything around him. One of his biggest and longest contributors and supporters is David Cohen of Comcast. So demonetize Cohen. One of the biggest driving forces behind the big money printing machine for the entire DNC from Hollywood is coming through Jeffrey Katzenberg. Katzenberg joined up with Spielberg and David Geffen to form Dreamworks. Geffen and how deeply all the "Me Too" scandals were washed away from him is one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood. If you leverage Geffen and cut off his money, you will eventually leverage Katzenberg and cut off that financial pipeline.

Let's run the demonetization hypothetical. Let's say I'm unhappy with the consistent gaslighting, sealioning, logical fallacy bombing, ad hominem, purity tests, source policing, dogpiling and general targeting of Conservatives and Republicans in the PSF by the woke cancel culture radical leftists here.

I could encourage all Conservatives and Republicans on the FBG forums to hit the Report Button. But the most effective way to deal with this is to sustain high value posting, ignore most of the attacks and simply cancel your FBG subscription. If FBG as a business and a brand lost 1000 subscribers in the next 30 days strictly from Conservatives and Republicans who are unhappy with the selective targeting from the radical left here, that is the most effective form of protest. I've never advocated this because I don't see the point in punishing people trying to put food on the table for the kids because of a select few zealots. I have a lot of respect for Jene Bramel and a lot of love in my heart for Matt Waldman and would never seek to punish them as collateral damage to wipe out a few wokies.

During the 2020 cycle, on one of the private Conservative discussion groups I belong to, a staffer for someone in the HOR asked me what was the best progressive pathway to fight the cancel culture. I said develop a browser that filters out everything that is anti Conservative and anti Republican.

Demonetizing someone is completely legal. People do it all the time. You get bad service in a restaurant, you never go back. You also might tell your friends and families and coworkers and neighbors that they will be treated badly and stolen from and get nothing but grief if they walk in the door.

If I sat down with Sigmund Bloom for 20 minutes ( I'm not picking on Bloom, I like Bloom and I listen to his podcast all the time, but I'm making an objective point dealing with media optics) and we talked about in the next two months where anywhere from 30-40 million Americans will go on the Internet and FBG will not exist, that's a big deal. 30-40 million Americans is like ten percent of the entire country.  AOC talked about putting Conservatives and Republicans on "lists" during the worst parts of the 2020 cycle. Her boyfriend, Riley Roberts, is a web developer. His mother is in Arizona and works in real estate. If Roberts' mother works for a large firm, how would they feel if every Conservative and Republican in Arizona refused to do business with them?

If you want to leverage someone, you don't just demonetize them, you demonetize everyone they love.

Imagine if you are sitting at the dinner table, and your wife or your brother or your cousin or your uncle or your son or daughter looks at you with silent rage because it was you, all of you, that started the cascade that tore their small business into the ground.

No one cares about your political ideology if that's the reason someone's kids don't have food on the table.

I don't agree with the FJB and the LGB chants in principle because it's rooting against America. We should all want for Biden/Harris to succeed to make America better because it's good for the world our children would hopefully inherit. But that would also apply to Trump. My take is everyone should have wanted "The Donald" to succeed because that's fundamentally rooting for America to actually be great once more. Do I think that happened? No. Do I think it's happening now? No.

On a personal level, I believe Joe Biden is a complete and total idiot, incompetent and a racist. But I'd rather root for America because I love my godson and I want the children of my employees to have better than this woke mess they will end up with in their future.

And I don't agree with the FJB and the LBG chants because it's ineffective and nothing is more savage than demonetizing someone. If someone has lost their career, their job, their means to hold their basic social status, their means to feed their children and is cast out like a pariah by others not wanting to get orbitally bombarded by that splash damage, then the right message is sent.

Derogatory chants are half measures that hunt someone's pride. I don't operate in half measures. If you are going to run someone over then have the fortitude to get a big mother #######  monster truck first.  Pride is nothing. You want to break someone and keep them broken, you eviscerate their dignity.

Don't sterilize what you are doing.  You want to remove all context to silence others. This is a legitimate First Amendment issue.

Using LGB or FJB as crowds are doing it in public and discussing the complexities of free speech around it are two entirely different things. This thread deals with the latter. But you already know that. You just want silence.

not really.....yes, if you came out and posted "F Joe Biden" in a thread and looked to pile on him, without this chant actually being a thing, then yes, I could see it being a suspension worthy post. But its not, the chant and phrase has captured a ton of public gatherings lately and as the OP said, his now a #1 song. 

For the President with "The most votes ever" the winds of dissent seem to be blowing loud. 

IMO, I think we as a country are elbow deep in "other side hate" politics and this is the next level of the "Not my president" movement. I dont want to think what the level after this is. 

But I also think a lot of people are waking up to the overall "do nothing" Washington politics, where they wave their fingers at you but then do what they want and flaunt it in your face. IMO, I think its time that Washington starts hearing from us a bit louder.
