This game is the biggest joke in sports. Basically two hand touch now. They have to get rid of it.

Just put the flags on and outlaw tackling.

At least it’s a spectacle.  Dudes are doing crazy dunks, alley oops and 3 point bombs.  And they get more competitive at the end of the game, especially with the change to the end of the game.  All of that said, I don’t typically watch much of the NBA All-Star game either.

The NFL though:

Watching two teams play offense through two hand touch feels like a bastardization of football.  I get it.  No one wants to get hurt.  And they’re trying to keep everyone safe.  But this is unwatchable.

I’ve long been a proponent of turning the NFL Pro Bowl into a “battle of the network stars” type competition. Tug o war over a mud pit; egg toss / relay; 3-legged race. Make it fun & exciting. Also THAT is something I’d make bets on!

Back in the day The Pro Bowl was a game between the second best teams in the West/East conferences.  Yep....why?

Not sure how you could conflate the two, but the NFL third place (1960-69) aka The Playoff Bowl had nothing to do with the Pro Bowl.

The last time I watched the Pro Bowl Franco Harris was a rookie. Every year I see a thread in TSP complaining about what a joke it is. Should go the way of the Chicago College All-Star Game.
