If President Trump fires Robert Mueller, he will be impeached. And he will deserve to be impeached.

Peter Carr, Special Counsel spokesman: “When we have obtained emails in the course of our ongoing criminal investigation, we have secured either the account owner’s consent or appropriate criminal process.”
Really stressing the criminal part.

Garry Kasparov:

Since the start of his campaign, Trump has dedicated himself to attacking defining American institutions: electoral system, free press, separation of powers, law enforcement.

Every one of these moves has been under the cover of the autocratic attack on the objective truth. Lying constantly while attacking his targets for lying, for "fake news", for treasonous behavior.

This method has served another end, perhaps the greater goal, of splitting the US even more deeply, a division that makes recovery from other attacks much harder.

The escalation of rhetoric to dictatorial extremes has a numbing effect. Terms like "enemies of the people", "coup" and "treason". When actual enemies, real treason, are exposed, they've already been used up, discredited.

It also requires stronger doses each time to achieve the same impact, the distraction, the clicks, the outrage. The media reaction of amplifying each time more than the last makes it worse.

Democratic govt is based on institutions. If someone is attacking those institutions instead of strengthening them, it's time to pick a side. Rule of law or by strongman? Rule of institutions or of tribe? The history of making the wrong choice here is clear.

We chose wrong and failed democracy in Russia. We failed by choosing a man, even a decent man, Yeltsin, over strong democratic institutions. We paid for it with Putin, and are still paying for it, as is everyone else.

Even if you like Trump, or tolerate him for what you think he can do for you or your cause, you are choosing against those American institutions. If you think they are broken, fix them, don't help Trump destroy them. Choose.
That was very well done.

ABSOLUTE RED LINE: the firing of Bob Mueller or crippling the special counsel’s office. If removed or meaningfully tampered with, there must be mass, popular, peaceful support of both. The American people must be seen and heard - they will ultimately be determinative.

what would you expect the Deep State to say?  I'm not buying it.  I could see if a hostile foreign government would've hacked these emails and released them through WikiLeaks, that would be OK.  but an investigative team to obtain them by legal means?  that's just beyond crossing a line, imo

I think someone stole the keys to that account, because he was complaining about the new tax bill too.

Kushner Sued By Own Lawyers Over Unpaid Bills - http://www.joemygod.com/2017/12/17/kushner-sued-lawyers-unpaid-bills/ …

:lmao:  Please be true
These are the lawyers for his real estate company...the ones that collect late rent from tenants.

President Trump’s son-in-law’s real estate company has a reputation of siccing lawyers on tenants who are late with the rent — but it doesn’t seem to pay its own bills on time.

A law firm that represented Jared Kushner’s real estate company in dozens of eviction and housing court cases is now suing the company, saying it is owed more than $100,000 for legal work from two years ago.

The law team Cornicello, Tendler & Baumel-Cornicello filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court on Dec. 7 against Kushner Cos. and 19 of its subsidiaries that own or manage properties. Cornicello seeks $102,000 for work it did between December 2014 and May 31, 2015.

He had a bit of a “come to Jesus” moment a few weeks/months ago after a few of the revelations. He’s still crazy but he doesn’t much like the idea of being an accessory after the fact.

Well, there you have it. We know Trump et al don't understand the concept of consent, ergo not guilty

The hilarious part of this may be their signatures on the documents indicating their understanding that all information from those devices or accounts will be handed over to law enforcement = consent.

Oh Im damned sure they literally signed their rights away and just never thought the second of it. Stupid water something something.

Now, if you are just going to regular porn sites a couple times during the day at the office, you may or may not get you in trouble.

Forwarding corruption and treason from the west wing? Yah, they are going to want those emails, and remind you that they have the complete rights to them.

Garry Kasparov is one of the smartest people alive on this earth. I instantly qualify you as a not very smart person if you disagree with what he says. He's a ####### chess god/grandmaster/forefather with a highly recommended IQ than anyonee you know. If you find yourself coming up on he other side, you're probably a moron.
I also follow him and agree with him, but there are a lot of brilliant people who are top in their very complex fields who aren’t worth listening to on politics.

On a completely unrelated note, we haven’t heard much from Ben Carson since he was stuck in that elevator. He okay?

President Trump, returning to the White House on Sunday, said when asked about the emails: "Not looking good. It's not looking good. It's quite sad to see that. My people are very upset about it. I can't imagine there's anything on 'em, frankly, because as we said, there's no collusion. There's no collusion whatsoever. A lot of lawyers thought that was pretty sad."

To be fair... he's a lot more well-rounded and learned than most chess champions.  You wouldn't leave your children with some of them, let alone take political advice.

It's even easier just to assess who's on what side of an argument here at FBG. If you find yourself siding  with a former GB quarterback company against MT, it's a good time to look in the mirror and reexamine things.

Mikhail Tal's first wife, Salli Landau, described his personality thusly:

Misha was so ill-equipped for living. When he traveled to a tournament, he couldn't even pack his own suitcase. He didn't even know how to turn on the gas for cooking. If I had a headache, and there happened to be no one home but him, he would fall into a panic: 'How do I make a hot-water bottle?' And when I got behind the wheel of a car, he would look at me as though I were a visitor from another planet. Of course, if he had made some effort, he could have learned all of this. But it was all boring to him. He just didn't need to.

First presidential library you have to be on good behavior to visit.
It's going to be one of those Little Free Libraries, stuck onto a rotted stump sitting on a patch of dead grass overlooking a drainpipe just outside of Weehawken.  Only thing that will be in it are a handful or weird "boudoir" photos of Ivanka from when she was probably underage, and 14 signed copies of "The Art of The Deal."

That word, used by that source, certainly jumps out.

Not that I subscribe to any 45D Chess theories, but as far as releases of information that have unbelievably complex and nuanced implications - this one about the transition emails is pretty much the most complicated I’ve seen.
