The starters are expected to play...preseason time (1 Viewer)

For those of us that play DFS in preseason this is fairly important and I imagine those watching the games want to know too.

Would you please post in here how long the starters are expected to play this week? Coaches usually make a statement.

Thank you

Cowboys starters are not expected to play much due to the condition of the field, Romo may not play at all.

NJ.com-Coughlin said probably a little more than last week. Eli was 15 snaps OL played 25 of the projected 10 snaps so little more than that.

These 14 Gmen won't play • CB Prince Amukamara (groin)

• T Will Beatty (PUP/pectoral)
• S Nat Berhe (calf)
• CB Chykie Brown (knee)
• LB Jonathan Casillas (neck)
• S Landon Collins (knee)
• WR Victor Cruz (calf)
• CB Chandler Fenner (hamstring)
• CB Jayron Hosley (concussion protocol/neck)
• OL Brandon Mosley (back)
• WR Rueben Randle (knee)
• DE George Selvie (knee)
• WR Julian Talley (toe)
• S Cooper Taylor (toe)

If Cruz and Randle are out, ODB probably getting 25-30 snaps....what WR intrigues you here?

Opinion-"little more" by Pagano means starters will play more than two series

also this from Stampede Blue

There are several interesting components to watch for when it comes to the running back position for the Colts. Firstly, it is possible that veteran Frank Gore will make his Colts debut tonight. He typically doesn't play much at all in the preseason and he didn't play last week, so if he does play tonight it wouldn't be too long, but he still might be out there. If so, it will be good to see him playing for the Colts for the first time. Secondly, it is likely that Vick Ballard will return for the Colts tonight, which would mark his first game action with the team since September 8, 2013, as since then he has suffered a torn ACL and a torn Achilles. We'll be definitely watching how he plays (because, after all, he is competing for a roster spot) but regardless it will just be nice to see him on the field again after all he's fought through to come back from. And then thirdly, the star of last week's preseason game for the Colts is a guy to watch tonight as well, as we're excited to see what Josh Robinson can continue to do with, hopefully, a bit of a bigger role.

Melvin Gordon to sit, Donald Brown to play

Then this-

How much quarterback Philip Rivers will play remains to be seen. In the second exhibition game last year, he played only nine snaps, making four throws over one series against the Seahawks. That drive ended in a punt. In 2013, he took 22 snaps in Chicago, playing into the second quarter. He was sacked three times on 12 dropbacks. - See more at: http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/2015/aug/21/chargers-melvin-gordon-ankle-preseason/#sthash.Vw2tkoHJ.dpuf

Most think Bradford will play "a series or two" but Reid hasn't confirmed he or Murray will play

The most anticipated moment of the Eagles' preseason could come Saturday if Sam Bradford is behind center for the first offensive snap of the Eagles-Ravens game.

Although coach Chip Kelly has not officially confirmed that Bradford will play and start on Saturday, Bradford said he expects to play and he has taken first-team snaps during practice throughout the week - including Friday's walk-through. Kelly was not made available for comment on Friday.

Bradford's passing ability should be clear in the game. He has shown off his arm throughout the summer, and the Eagles' excitement about his accuracy appears merited.

But what has not been seen during training camp - and can only be seen in the game - is how Bradford moves in the pocket and what he looks like after taking a hit. The last time Bradford was hit in a game, he suffered a torn ACL.

What backup Eagles WRs might be good for DFS tonight? They have some good competition at backup QB so...who will be "the man" at WR in the second half?

Agholor. I also think Matthews has a good game tonight. I'd rather have starters playing a half or close to it than back-ups playing a little more time.

Get some work in and get out healthy...doesn't tell me anything about the Broncos. Few articles seem to indicate Brock much more time than Peyton though.

Yeah he did well last week in highlights.

I'm looking for two quarters...at least that's my general thought.

Maybe I should elaborate-

If starters get 2 quarters then the backups get 1 a piece. If starters get one, then key backups seems to get two. If it's like the Cowboys where Jones says junk exaggerated to be him hinting the NFL might call the game(he didn't) it still makes me figure their scrubby scrubs 4th string might get tons of work; almost a "who would be no big deal if they got hurt on this field? Let's play them" type thinking

I'd be completely shocked if Peyton played more than 2 series. Do not play Peyton.

It sounds like he wants to, coach doesn't, and his reasoning of being in a new offense and JJ Watt barely playing in preseason may give Peyton the win in this argument. I have not followed coach-player who has more influence shpeal in DEN to call this

My guess from Pack articles, Rodgers to get 25-30 snaps then Tolzen with the starters because McCarthy is curious of him with the ones

This somewhat supports that

http://www.gazettextra.com/20150821/rodgers_has_no_limitations_from_last_seasons_calf_injury
Rodgers attempted 19 passes in their first game. He is a must start tomorrow against the Steelers embarrassing secondary.
He was in 33 plays. The Tolzen stuff makes it confusing.

Whisenhunt said the Titans starters will play into the second quarter
Maybe I should also point out he made some comments about or until angry or depends on the anger factor or somesuch...I assume this means the OL determines how much Mariota is in. There's considerable concern over Rams DL and Titans OL.

I would like to do this the next two weeks for DFS. Really need some homer thoughts though, fans deep in it are way better at predicting who plays when than some of these casual jounalists.
