The original Bosch series ended in 2021 after 7 seasons. They moved on to Bosch: Legacy, which will debut its final season (of 3) in March, which still has Bosch in it but also has his daughter as one of the main characters. They are making another series set in the Bosch universe about Detective Renee Ballard (with the Bosch character expected to be in it). There's another Bosch spinoff under production on Jerry Edgar, who was Bosch's partner in the original series. Haven't seen these other than Dukes of Hazard and Penguin, which made my list even though I'm hesitant since it is still going and only has had one season. It was just so well done.
I'm just not into crime procedural things, so Bosch never appealed to me at all. I know Homicide Life on the Street (which I'm sure made this countdown) is great and all that for example, but after a few seasons I even bailed on that one. I watched Quantum Leap a couple times growing up but it didn't grab me and I was never interested enough to try it again later in life. People whose opinions I trust said Bloodline wasn't very good after the first season. I don't even know what the premise or anything is.

I’m a big proponent of IMDB ratings for movies, I think they’re the best ratings out there. I ignore them for TV, though - every show is an 8.0. People who make it through the show liked it enough to stick with it and give it a 9. People who didn’t like it dipped out after 3 episodes and don’t feel like they saw enough to give it a rating. At least that’s my guess at why the show scores are all so high.

Ouch...Loved this show! great cast and really loved to hate one of the main characters. so i now have a top 10 (Yellowjackets) that finished out of the top 200 and Bloodline (#6) that just made the top 200.196 - Bloodline

Agree. The description in Scoresman’s post is for Bosch season 1.
Michael Connelly is my favorite author. He has written 24 Bosch books, and the Bosch series is faithful to the books, as you would expect, since he is an executive producer. The casting is great. Titus Welliver is perfect as Bosch and there are many other very strong characters.
I will say, it is not action-packed. To like it, you need to be a fan of deliberately paced drama. So for any of you who haven’t seen it and decide to try it, I would give it at least a few episodes.

I never finished Bloodline. I ranked it because I thought Season 1 was so great, and Season 2 was good. Perhaps I will never watch Season 3 and preserve my good feelings.
