Surprised there isn't already a thread and with game time approaching I want to get a few thoughts out there b4 self imposed game-day lock down.

First and foremost, I like BP, he was maniacal and ruthless and he was a winner and the league was better when he was in it.

NYGs got screwed losing both BP and BB after their 91 SB win

BP and the NYJs were snakes in the grass after that 97 SB (fwiw, imo Bledsoe at best then and still losing in SB illustrates why Brady (later) was sooo much better)

CLE huuuuge mistake firing BB

BP and the NYJ again snakes in the grass for preventing BB from interviewing for NE hc job in 2000. Hess was gone and BB owed zero to the NYJs and yet BP used him as a pawn again in order to spite NE and get what he wanted. Had BB stayed he would have been in a no win in situation, BP would have been calling all the shots and gotten all the credit if they won while BB would have gotten credit had they lost. Woody would have likely (screwed the pooch like he has done ever since) done whatever BP wanted and BB would have been a fool to stay. I have heard other NYers trying to paint a different story unfairly crucifying BB (hello Chase) and I think Piolis account shows just how dishonest and duplicitous BP and the NYJs acted. Watch the show and tell me im wrong...

BB was hc of the NYJ on 2 different occasions and never coached a game for them (why is that? it was all due to BPs win at all costs/dishonest manipulations) and it is no wonder the NYJs hate BB and NE with the power of ten thousand suns.

Good for the jets

Also did find it pretty lowbrow that Parcells tried to hide the fax saying the Pats wanted to interview Belichick for their head coaching job.

Exactly, if they acknowledge the fax then BB is free to interview but BP wasn't about to let BK get the best of him and were I BP I can't honestly say I wouldn't have done something similar. Thats part of what made BP and what makes BB successful, they play for keeps and will stretch the rules to the limit and beyond if necessary in order to win.

For the NE haters I feel your pain re another NE themed thread, but BP and BB are worthy of it IMHO.
