The ultimate conflict of interest (1 Viewer)

I started the day tailgating @ Arrowhead....did not have tickets to the game, so I went to local establishment with three college buddies. At the beginning of the day, I put the odds of KC moving on @ around 10%....

Then I see everything fall into place....TENN, CIN, and I am winning my title match up in one of my leagues with a bunch of buddies.....

By 2:45 CT I am still pessimistic......DEN is one of our two archrivals--no way in heck they lose @ home.

By 1/2 time of the DEN game I am hoarse as all get out....and still pessimistic. But I don't really care that I feel like crap, the Chiefs still have a shot!!

Then Cutler hits Scheffler....WHICH WINS ME MY LEAGUE TITLE! But it screws KC. I am so torn.....I just won a hundred bucks AND I AM PISSED....thinking there is no way 'Frisco gets the momentum back. It was the ultimate conflict of interest.......first time I ever felt that in fantasy.

Then Elam almost pisses the PAT and I almost had a coronary!

I really thought we were done when DEN won the OT coin toss......but somehow Frisco kept plugging along. But a tie does KC no good.....which somehow slips my memory until there are 5 minutes left in OT.

At this point everyone in the restaurant is standing, pounding their tables with every play.....its pretty intense.

Nedney's kick goes through and the place goes NUTS! People crying, yelling, jumping on people they did not know.....and all sorts of stuff---unreal.

Now, I am finally home and am $100 richer.....and i pretty much know I will be sick as a dog the next 2 days, but it was worth it.

I explained to my wife this morning that the Chiefs had no shot at the playoffs, too many things needed to happen.

Sounds like you a great day and feeling like crap tomorrow is probably worth it.

Quick question-Why do you have Broncos on your fantasy roster? Go Chiefs!

The real question is how do 2 guys who have "nugget" in their name get stuck pulling for a team like the Chiefs that had virtually no chance at playoff fun when they woke up today end up telling their wives that they were wrong and next Saturday will be a sacred day in their life; the game the Chiefs broke the playoff losing streak? We just got back from a party with 6 people that were at the game and when they left, they were like Kevin and didn't think we had a chance. KC fans needed this and next week it may all end, but we will ride the wave like the Cardinals fans in STL that weren't given a chance.

As a Packer fan who went through a similar situation in '02. I have to tell you guys to enjoy every minute. Plus, these things happen for a reason. Your team has the potential to match up with any team on any given Sunday so give it your all (as much as fans can anyway).I honestly believe the Packers would have made it to the Super Bowl if it weren't for Mike Sherman's poor play calling vs Philly in '02. Things lined up perfectly and he screwed us, and Favre who would have rode out into the sunset back then.Anyway, keep your head up. Get better and get ready to feel like crap again next week!
