I haven't seen a thread like this already in place, but I think they can be really useful. After a certain number of rounds, depending on your league setpup (12-14 for me), it's important to target guys with high upside vs. predictable guys with similar average production.
For instance, a rookie who's at WR3 on a good offense, and a veteran entrenched at WR2 on a poor one might be projected at similar levels of production, but only one has a reasonable chance to break out and really help you.
I'll post back here with a few of mine in a little bit, but I wanted to get this thread going. Just post some names and a sentence or two about why you like them as late-round picks.

Can't say this enough. I love Washington this year.

The Thomas Jones is overrated schtick is tired. Just carried over from the "Benson is going to start by week 3" thread from last year. The guy is an above average back who more than proved his worth during three solid years with the Bears. Don't under estimate the guy's tenacity and his ability to hang onto a starting gig. Washington owners won't see him start for at least a couple of years unless Jones goes down with an injury. And BTW, Jones has been pretty darn durable also.

Don't think Deuce and Reggie. Think Rudi Johnson and Chris Perry. That is a better comparison. The way the Saints use Reggie is unique because of Reggie's talents. And that entire offense is much more prolific than the Jets can ever hope to be this year. One can only hope than Washington doesn't have the injury problems that has plagued Perry most of his career.
