The Vic in Chicago: Help Please (1 Viewer)

We are 3.5 hours from The Vic. My 17 year olds favorite band will be performing there ten days before he is eighteen. They are from Europe and may not come to N America again for a long time. Does anyone know if they actually card people going to shows at The Vic. It would be expensive and time consuming to just go and hope he gets in. BTW, the kid looks like he is 20+ if that matters.

In 2015 I took my 18 year old daughter there so she could see Butch Walker...her favorite musician. She was carded and didn't get a wristband. I got a wristband so I could drink.

if their policies are the same, you should be fine.

Lots of bars/clubs let you in at 18 but not at 17. Big difference

Perusing their website I did see where they sometime have shows with a 18+ or 21+ age requirement and it says they check ID's 

I'd go on the website and send them a question about it.

just FYI...I've been taking my daughter to various clubs in Chicago since she was 16. She always was able to get in with me, I don't remember if they were age restricted shows though to be honest.
