There are about 1000 music threads now. I am a big fan of doo-***, obviously motown but also the general pop standards of the 30s-50s as well.i was surprised to see the amount of attention them blues had here. I bet country gets little attention and it's looking like this kind of thing has little interest here.. How about those Doo *** vocal groups of the 50's? Motown? Rockabilly?
Like most when I first heard Stagger Lee by Lloyd Price I just assumed it was his song. Then when I starting schooling myself, we can trace that somg back to Ma Rainey and Hull & Reed in the 20's. a little before Furry Lewis who also did a version. Stagger Lee...or Stack 0' Lee, Stackerlee. There are about 1000 music threads now. I am a big fan of doo-***, obviously motown but also the general pop standards of the 30s-50s as well.

None. I don't listen to much country but I don't dislike it. Same with metal but I get the appeal and enjoyed it as a teenager.Anyone who is really into music will drop in.

I like it, reminds me of the old Delta blues records. I would have to be in a pretty particular mood to listen to a lot of it though. It made me want to watch Bonnie and Clyde though.Well, not your thing?
