There's a game on tonight? (1 Viewer)

Indy @ St. Louis on FOX.
Not in St. Louis. The game didn't sell out so we don't get to watch out "new" team's 1st game. This is such a joke. Rams fans have had that dome sold out for 12 years straight now and they can't pick up a measly 5,000 tickets to show the home crowd their new product. I'm ashamed of them right now.

Hmm, didn't know this rule applied to preseason. I gotta think several teams don't sell out preseason games.

Yeah can't believe they didn't sell out a pre-season game. I'm still amazed how many people go to freaking TCs and scrimmages. Get a life. I can think of 100 better things to do in summer.Like work on my cheatsheet :bag: ;)

Training camps are much different. You get a personal look at the players unlike what you see at the Stadium in both the preseason and season. I can see not going to preseason games, especially the first one when the starters play very little, but training camps are a very surreal experience. You should check one out, because really there is nothing better for an NFL fan to actually have an opportunity to meet a favorite player, or just listen to the dialogue between players. Awesome!

Yes, all of those years that the Lions were in the Silverdome for preseason, those games were no where near being sold out and the local channel still picked up all of the preseason games. Maybe it's a local deal with the team, but the NFL rules only apply to regular season unless the TV rules changed this year.

But those Lions games were not live. Most of the time they were tape delayed until Midnight.

Ok, I don't remember them all being tape delayed...but I digress. In recent years at Ford Field when they televise those games live, are those games all sold out? I really don't know myself. It's very possible that I could have been mistaken about the TV rules. :bag:

How many tickets did you buy?
None, what's your point? Am I not a football fan unless I buy tickets to preseason games. Because I didn't want to shell out $70 to watch scrubs play most of the game does make me lesser of a fan. I think not but your opinion is noted.

For some fans, preseason games and scrimmages are the only times they can see the team play without forking over $150+ a ticket, and that's for endzone seats. Especially for families that want to see the Packers. Getting 5-6 seats together in Lambeau during a regular season game might cost you a $1000-$1500+ easy.

As a formar Buffalonian, I will attest to the fact that the black-out rule applies to pre-season games. It's BS, IMO.

We'll find out tomorrow.

We use to always get a tape delayed pre-season game here it Atlanta. I wasn't sure if that was due to not selling out at the time or not having the NFL Network to help air the first pre-season game.

His point is that it's partially your fault that the tickets didn't sell out so you really can't complain that you don't get to watch them for free. It's a good point IMO.
