1. Reggie Bush is not nor will ever be the main ball carrier in NO or anywhere else

2. The RAMs blow

3. ADP NOT MJD will be the #1 fantasy back this year

4. The NYJ DEF is for real!

5. Cutler's ego will keep him from being an elite QB. He thinks his arm is strong enough to put the ball anywhere.

6. Ronnie Brown would be a stud if they'd give him the ball 20+ times

7. Cinncy and Detroit are still Cinncy and Detroit

8. Warner will not make it through the year

Jay Cutler won't transform TERRIBLE receivers into Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall.

But that being said, Earl Bennett could be a decent play in PPR leagues. Cutler threw a ton of balls his way last night.

HAHAHAAnd Orton couldn't either.3 of Cutler's 4 INTs was due a bad decision. 1 Was an amazing play by the GB DEF, but Cutler threw it right at him.

At one point Culter threw three balls in a row into the chest of defensive players. If I did not know better, I would have thought it was intentional.

C Benson-nothing special and yesterday was one of his best matchups

T Jones-his stat line doesn't nearly tell the story

Forte-avg rb won't get the dumpoffs

Can you expand on that? Didn't see the game. Was it a lot of luck or did he look like a stud?

Leon Looked good, got 19 touches and was actually more featured in the gameplan. He had a run stopped on the 1 inch line, TJoneshammered it in from there.TJ got some big plays on Hou stacking the line looking for a big stop. Once he made that quick cut, he was gone becuase the D was selling out.

That being said, he will still be soli imho, becuase the Team will still look to protect Sanchez as much as possible by running 40+ times a game, Leon and TJones will see a 60-40 split I think, with leon on 3rd downs and some 1st and 2nd down packages.

A true RBBC with TJones getting 75% of the goalline looks.

Miami's offense is as offensive as I figured they would be. That team is going to suck. No candyass schedule this season. Back to 5-11 or worse.

Brees is the s#@$ !!!

Peterson is capable of 2 G !!!

Willis IS Top Dog !!!
You better be talking about Patrick Willis on the Niners D, and not Willis McGahee. If you watched the Ravens game rather than just looking at the end fantasy points, it was evident that it's Rice and not McGahee that's the top dog in Baltimore.

:goodposting: Rice is definitely the man. Willis was just in the right place at the right time.

good point.. I think he is still trying to figure out which team he is palying for.. couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.. :lmao:Thank you packers for making Cutler eat Crow.. I hope his season continues to SUCK..

At one point in the 4th quarter, he had 14 carries for 16 yards and 1 TD; he could have been done for the day there. His next 6 carries produced 91 yards and 1 TDs,

And the TD came off a tremendous 9 yard run by Washington from the 10 yard line down to the one inch line that he came a whisker from scoring on.

But of course! At this point there's only 1 Willis in the league (no matter what that backup in b'mores first name is)!

1. Fantasy owners always overreact to week 1.

ETA: they overreact every week, but especially week 1. Carry on.

Steven Jackson is not going to be worth a first-round pick so long as the team around him continues to be THAT hopeless.
I knew the team was bad, but I thought they would make a better effort to run the offense through him, which I still believe will happen. There were some bad things, but 14 touches for one of the most physically gifted RBs in the league is not going to happen on a weekly basis IMO.

Oh, and I wasn't referring to the Peterson in Chicago. I was talking about that one over there in Minnesota! LOL

This is very true.Houston can't be that bad; can they?

Julius Jones can't be that good; is he?

Michael Clayton a monster over the middle?

Forte and Slaton don't suck; do they?

Is there any player in the NFL that runs harder than Cadillac? He looked like a man obsessed in the highlight clips from NFL.com.

I thought Benson had a great game :(
So did I. There aren't a lot of holes being created by that offensive line. He caught the ball well out of the backfield, showed some vision, and even looked a little explosive on a few plays. He also barely ever came off the field. If he's going to get 25 touches a week, what's not to like?

he was playing the Broncos. This may be one of the best chances for a big game all year. He had some nice runs but at the end of the day he had 3.6 ypc vs. a run defense that ranked 27th and gave up the 2nd most TDs. Did they improve that much this year, I guess we'll see. The big thing Benson has going for him is that he really has no one behind him so his stat lines will be ugly but he'll get you 60-70 yards a week on his 20 touches.

:blackdot: Sure it was The Lions, but still 6 TD's in your first game of the season??
What did anyone expect, they used their top 2 draft picks (out of the first 20 overall) on offense. Delmas looks legit though.Agree with thoughts on Reggie Bush. I started him this week thinking he'd be money in the bank. Barf.

Eddie Royal: 18 receiving yardsBrandon Marshall: 27 receiving yards

Standard FF scoring = 3 points

Devin Hester: 90 receiving yards, TD

Earl Bennet: 66 receiving yards

Standard FF scoring = 21 points

Which WRs would you rather have?

I think this will be a great case study over the season to see if the QB makes the WR great or vice-versa.

Compared to week 1 last season the stats are not so surprisingly nearly opposite:Eddie Royal: 146 receiving yards, TD

Brandon Marshall: Suspended (Stokely had 25 yds)

Standard FF scoring = 22 points

Devin Hester: 7 receiving yards

Earl Bennet: did not play (Lloyd had 26 yds)

Standard FF scoring = 2 points

Considering the matchups were CHI@IND and DEN@OAK compared to this year CHI@GB and DEN@CIN I think these are pretty fair comparisons. Cutler is much better than Orton, i.e. they are who we thought they were.

What I thought I knew a week ago:

Matt Schaub, Ronnie Brown and Eddie Royal in for huge years.

Jake Delhomme, Ray Rice and Earl Bennett in for disappointing years.

So....after one week..... 1 for 6? That's not bad, right?

no dog in this fight but in defense of Cutler, Collinsworth pointed to at least 3 times where his receivers gave up or quit on the routes about the time he threw to where they "should have been". I thought it was pretty plain in the replays after he pointed it out.

he does have the "I can make any throw" mentality and does make poor decisions at times.

so did Farve. he seemed to turn out ok.

FWIW

They switched to a 3-4. Brought in a some new players. Biggest addition: Mike Nolan. Maybe they have improved on D.Oh, and Cincy's Oline is pretty bad.
