When the schedule came out, the Eagles were looking at 3 straight NFC East road games in December. It looked bleak. No way can they make the playoffs if they're not already in position when that stretch hits. Yet here it is, Dec. 25, the Eagles are 4-0 in December and just ran through Murderer's Road - ok, maybe a stretch - and look to be playing great ball.

It's a very merry Xmas after all.

They are the perfect team to whup the Bears if they make it to round 2. And if you recall, it was the Eagles who knocked off the last Bears team with a good record -- Jim Miller's 2002 13-3 Bears squad.

LOL. I forgot about them already. Sorry, Bears fans. I guess that pre-Hester Orton/Grossman team wasn't very memorable.

As an Eagles fan I want to see the Birds knock off the Bears, but please elaborate as to why they are the perfect team for it. Because Jim Johnson blitzes alot? Because of Reid's schemes?

Well, I see a lively and opportunistic defense that seems to capitalize on the mistakes of weak-willed QBs (see the 4th quarter vs Eli and the Giants a couple weeks ago. If the Bears stick with Grossman, I like the chances of players like Dawkins to mess with his head.

On the other side, I see a QB who escapes pressure in an offense designed to get rid of the ball quickly, which should reduce the Bears' chances for a big play on D.

I have a good feeling about the Iggles in this matchup.

Sorry to say, but the Saints would make a mockery out of both of these teams. :football

LOL. Yeah, OK. They made a mockery out of the Eagles in October, needing a last-second FG to beat them. Look, the Saints may beat the Eagles if they meet in the playoffs. But to say they will make a mockery of them is a gross overstatement.

In the NFL, a win is a win is a win, the proof is in the pudding. Aloha and Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas) Im pretty sure the Saints are appreciative in what the Eagles did tonigh though.
