Will you contribute your thoughts next week?MJD doesnt travel well, to the northeast in the winter. He will have less than 5 fantasy points today.
Still not a mirage?Do you hear that sound? That's the sound of thousands of fantasy football players running to grab Roy Williams off the waiver wire. What is at issue is if [Austin] is a mirage or not. You're changing the subject because you know that 4 starts for 6 TDs and at least 1 TD in each game is all we need to know. He's not a mirage, period.
Absolutely not a mirage. Did you watch? Romo was the problem. On the two good deep drives, Austin and Roy both got good end zone looks. Romo just overthrew an open Austin. I know you want to prove your point badly, but you were wrong the moment you wrote it. I've started Austin 4 weeks and have 3 weeks with at least 1 TD out of him. Mirage? Look up the definition of that word and you'll realize that what you initially posted was already incorrect.Still not a mirage?Do you hear that sound? If Romo is the problem, then it only proves the point that Austin is a mirage. He'll never be an elite fantasy WR as long as he has an inferior QB attempting to the throw the ball to him.You talk big about Austin now, but I wonder if you'll have the guts to start him next week against the #9 fantasy defense vs. receivers.Trends don't lie. Both the packers and the Eagles consistently had safety help directly over the top on austin. Roy really wasn't shown much respect by the Packers this week and it showed. He is still a top 20 WR easily (9 targets today.)Still not a mirage?Do you hear that sound? I love how you're changing the script. Is Austin a mirage or not? Romo was the problem today. Romo isn't the problem normally, evidenced by Romo's big numbers (and Austin's big numbers) for the past 4 games. Any time Romo throws for 189 and 1 TD, the WR numbers are not going to be great. Romo and the Cowboys had a bad week. You're trying to twist this to meet your agenda but anyone with eyes saw that the Cowboys were surprised, played poorly, and were upset today by GB.If Romo is the problem, then it only proves the point that Austin is a mirage. Trends don't lie. If you can't spot a trend in the NFL you should stop playing fantasy.
Well said. That was the story last week as well. Austin getting attention is helping Roy clearly as defenses are trying to make sure Austin doesn't beat them. On two plays today Roy killed Dallas. The 43 yard catch where he fumbled when tackled and on another Dallas drive in GB territory where Roy flat out dropped a 20+ yard pass that hit him in the hands. So I would say the strategy is working in large part. Which sucks for the Romo AND Austin owners...Both the packers and the Eagles consistently had safety help directly over the top on austin. Just because I think it's worth mentioning, the ball went through his hands, not touching them, and hit him in the face.Well said. That was the story last week as well. Also, if Roy starts picking his play up things should swing back towards Austin.Well said. That was the story last week as well. It sure helps ... two other examples this week is Marques Colston and Vincent Jackson who consistently received double coverage.I see. Austin is great as long as nobody double-teams him. Good to know.
I'm sure that tidbit will go right over the head of the defensive coordinators on the Cowboys' upcoming schedule.
P.S. I wonder why the whole "double team" concept doesn't work on most of the other "#1" WRs in the league?
I started Brandon Marshall against that #9 fantasy defense vs. receivers yesterday.Mr. Retukes said:If Romo is the problem, then it only proves the point that Austin is a mirage.
