I think a lot of people are sleeping on him this year as I see a lot of the rankings for him slipping to that 13-17WR range. probably because of his age.
But its almost always been like that for him; always ranked a bit lower than what he produces, even though he's been the example of consistency.
I see what you're saying, but Reggie doesn't call the plays and he doesn't decide who to throw it to. I think Painter is smart enough to know who the most reliable WR on the team is - and throwing it to him = good statline for Painter.

Even still, the first half. Whatever. Wayne produced very well in limited time in that game. Trying to dismiss one long TD and pointing out that he had no catches in the first quarter doesn't really change that.

Not saying he didn't produce, but attributing it to him trying to prove a point about Painter/Collins is ridiculous. If Collins had thrown that long pass when he was wide open, what was he going to do, drop it on purpose?
