Thinker of a question. (1 Viewer)

If Ronnie Brown is tackled behind the line of scrimmage while he's in the "wildcat" offense should that be a sack for the defense? It's a thinker. This is not only about Miami, its about all offense that run this. NFL and college. What I've come up w/ is Tim Teabow yes and R. Brown no. So I guess you have to be a QB to get sacked even if theirs no QB on the field. No QB on the field = no one can get a sack. Is that what everyone thinks? Just wondering.

It's not a thinker, as a play is only a sack if it came on a called pass. If a QB is tackled behind the line on a called QB draw, that's not a sack. If Ronnie Brown gets tackled behind the line on a halfback option pass, that is a sack.
