Thinking of starting a new Dynasty League (1 Viewer)

I'm the commissioner of a 2nd year free dynasty league on fleaflicker.com. I love the league but would also like to play in one for money. I haven't seen anything this year that is what I'd be looking for.

If I started a pay league, I'd probably have in on MFL and use leaguesafe.com to distribute winnings. I'd also possibly have owners pay a year and half dues so that way vacated spots could be available at half the cost the first year. I'd have league dues be between $40 and $50 with everything paid out except the cost to host the league on MFL.

I'd probably lean towards starting this league in 2011. Long story short, I will be moving Monday and starting grad school the following Monday. However, if I decided to start it in 2010, do you think there would be enough time to fill the league and finish a draft between now and when week one starts on September 9th?

I'm not sure if I'd go for a 12 or 14 team. Definitely Non-IDP though.

If a 14-team league

22 man rosters

starters: 1QB, 2RBs, 3WRs, 1TE, 1K, 1 DEF



If a 12-team league

24 man rosters

starters: 1QB, 2RBs, 3WRs, 1TE, 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1K, 1 DEF

Offensive Scoring rules:

decimal scoring

1pt/25 yards passing

1pt/10 yards rushing

1pt/10 yards receiving

0.5pts/reception (all positions)

6 pts/passing, rushing, receiving, KR, and PR touchdowns

-2 pts/interceptions and lost fumbles

2 pts/2 pt conversions

I just started one with some friends, you'd need to get on the move though. I have the timer on our draft starting on 8/14 at noon. I also like the non team defensive option as well since defensive players do change quite a bit so there's a lot more of a luck factor involved in DST.

Might be if it's this year, 12 team, PPR with flex lineups and 24 man rosters. There is time to draft before season.

You may still have time but you're going to have to hurry. I started a 12 team league, 18 man roster full keeper $50/year, 0.5 ppr, no idp. I have 7 spots filled so I'm still looking for 5 more owners. If you can't get something by Sunday you may want to start looking at joining a league. I have a new one with very similar rules that is $100 that still needs 3-4. If any of you are interested in playing in a league with some really committed owners, this could be the league for you
