Thinking SAVES ONLY... who'd you rather have (1 Viewer)

ERA and WHIP mean very little with as many SP as I have... In need of saves for the rest of the season. Who do you think will be the better guy to have... All-star break forward (Pending Percival is 100% after his DL stint)

Thoughts would be helpful too, I don't watch many TB or ATL games, so hometown input would be very helpful as well. thanks

They're both injury risks. Flip a coin. I like Percival, but hey, I was waiting for Smoltz to come back from the DL this time last week. Youneverknow.

assuming health (which you can't really do with either guy), it's a complete toss-up. i'm a rays fan, but most would say that the braves would certainly win more games from here on out (imagine predicting the rays to win 4 more games than the braves 3 months ago). whether that's true or not probably won't have any effect at all on who gets more saves.

both are good pitchers. both are injury risks that could push 35 saves if healthy.

one factor you may consider is that percival will have a longer leash than soriano. i can't possibly imagine how bad percival would have to be to actually lose the role. soriano should have a long leash too, but i doubt cox would have much problem putting gonzalez in if soriano struggles.

i meant 35 total.saves are streaky. if you need saves now, there's no reason to think soriano would get more than saito in the short-term. i don't think soriano is even pitching on back-to-back days yet.

With my league being a 10 team league, Brian Wilson SF or Rauch for Was are options, but Sioto isn't doing it for me now... i am pretty impatient i guess is my problem
