This could be why Farve is not making his decision (1 Viewer)

Broncos Shop Lelie to PackersApril 10, 2006 09:26 AM EDTThe Green Bay Packers' efforts to bolster their receiving corps just might direct them to Broncos receiver Ashley Lelie.The Denver Post reports the Broncos might be shopping Lelie, and Green Bay is one of two cities where he could land.Lelie is in the final year of his contract and hasn't participated in Denver's off-season activities.The former first-round pick enters his fifth season in the NFL. His best year was in 2004 when he racked up more than 1,000 receiving yards.
This could be another Shanahan player for player trade? Pure speculation but, I bet Denver would trade both 1st's #15 & #22 to GreenBay for their #5. The Broncos then take Vernon Davis.

15, 22, Lelie = 5?

2nd = Walker?

:bag:

Denver gets Vernon Davis, Javon Walker.... ?

Green Bay gets: Chad Jackson, Chad Greenway, Thomas Howard, Davin Joseph ...?

:hophead:

hmmm..... not sure if I could buy GB on this... would have to weigh the desire to get rid of Walker (which I don't know is all that strong, even if he sits) to desire to get Favre back (which I think is pretty high) :unsure:

Lelie for Walker anyone? :no:

This could be why people shouldn't make stupid posts about "Favre".
My bad that you clowns could not seperate ideas. One is a report from GreenBay. The other sentence was what I was suggesting. I will write a little slower next time Lumberg!

I'm sure Favre wants to know who his receivers would be. I mean his only star receiver is saying he wont play for the Packers. The guy wants to win and he wants to be able to get someone the ball. Oh yeah, he wants to play to be able to do those things. If he feels he wont be able to do those things, he wont play.

Apparently we couldn't "separate" it either.

That kinda flies in the face of all the stuff we've been told over the years about Favre, though, like how he can carry a team and make ordinary WR's look spectacular......

Is that from the story by Dave Kreiger?

It should be disclosed to the people here that Kreiger probably has the least sports acumen of any sports writer currently on either the Denver Post staff or the Rocky Mountain News staff and spends regular column space waxing eloquent about his son, whom has has cutely nicknamed "The Dude", which he uses a sickening repetitive amount every time he wastes sports page space with his momentous father/son encounters.

If it is from Kreiger, I'd put the possibilities of the rumor being true at somewhere between 5% & 10%.
