This year's Big time WR sleeper is... (1 Viewer)

Last year S Smith's auction value was $8-10 with an ADP in the 40s, SMoss's auction value was $2 with an ADP of 80 or so. This year two of the best WR values in the draft are?

I'll drop a clue a day until they're taken in my first draft. Should be early Aug. IF you guess who it is, I will reveal the sleepers/value picks with detailed arguments and projections. IF you don't guess, I will reveal after my draft with the same arguments and projections. Its all about value...

What the hell, this is kind of fun..

Given the traditionally accepted definition of "sleeper", I'll go with David Givens.

Jimmy Smith made the list. :D I'll go w/Sammie Parker too.

I was wondering if mr harrier got banned again.

Donald Driver?
He looks to be a good candidate for TD Monster this year.
He is my sleeper.
How can you define him as a sleeper when he's the #1 WR on GB and Favre is still throwin' him the ball?
:goodposting:
His draft position dictates if he is a sleeper; not if he is the #1 WR in GB.Right now he is the 13th ranked WR but I think he can be top 6; which would make him a solid #1 WR in FF - not a high #2 WR (which his draft position indicates).

If you want a deep sleeper try Mark Clayton BAL.

Nice, you gottem both.

I say Coles - WR27
1/2 way there. Ironically, he's a lot like Santana Moss was last year. He's a #1 WR on a team with QB ?s. With either Pennington or Ramsey at the helm his numbers are going to mushroom. Moss was generally an afterthought last year as Coles will be for many. His ADP is 31st-35th WR taken this year. Last year he finished as the 43rd best WR. There is value to be had as his QB situation will be much improved. This guy is better than the 30th best in the league

SSmith yes, value in SMoss yes, Galloway no his injuries in the previous years killed me...I didn't think he could go the year without pulling a hamstring. I am no one, you shouldn't care what I say. This was just a way to discuss values at the WR position. I think it is the most difficult position to predict from year to year. Thank you for contributing to the conversation.

Bingo. Coles was my value WR and MARK Clayton is my sleeper. Clayton ran nice routes, made some great catches in traffic, and looked very fast. He is pencilled in as the #2 WR for Baltimore. He's got a much better QB throwing the ball. He's got good RBs, a very good TE and a WR on the other side to open things up. The guy is a good run-blocker and tough. I really like him to have a Houshmandzadeh-Bennett type season. Thanks for the replies. My first clue was going to be: they both play for teams east of the mississippi. Again, I think the WR spot is one of the tougher to predict. I didn't want to say...Who's yer sleeper at the WR spot but I wanted to generate some conversation. Thanks too, to the dude who provided a comprehensive list of all WRs for my 16 team re-draft where we are required to start at least 3 WRs.

I like Clayton and think he has tons of potential.

However, some big challenges for Clayton to even crack the top 40* for WRs:

- He will be the #3 receiving option

- New QB. Yes it is a seasoned vet but he still needs to adjust and build a chemistry with Clayton

- BAL has been 20th or worst for total offense 3 of the last 4 years

*Top 40 for 1 pt/rec, 1 pt per 10 yds, 6 pts per TD would be roughly 48/733/5 (based on Brand Lloyd's 2005 stats in my pt/rec league)

Last year he saw limited time with Boller/Wright and caught 44 passes for 471 yds and 2 tds. In the last 4 games he caught 17 balls for 230 yds and both tds. I realize McNair has a relationship with Mason but if you project the last 4 games over a 16 game season you end up 68 catches, 920 yds and 8 tds. That's gonna put him right about where Housh was last year. In watching him play last year, he just stands out on the field. He looks fast, sharp and like he's fearless. He's also got damn good hands. The system and Baltimore's offensive history certainly leaves a lot to be desired but I like the guy to crack the top 25. He'll also get some looks running the ball, not a ton but a few end arounds/reverses.

Couldn't agree with you more. Pt./rec. he should be nails.
