Running behind Kam Wimbley at SLB right now.
Trevor Scott seems (and it's early) pretty locked in at WLB. Seems like his DE days are over. Both moves surprise me. Howard to me, is a classic 3-down WLB. Now, you give up something in run support, but the guy can cover backs as well as any LB out there. Scott, I always thought he was a pass rush specialist. Too small to be a DE, but fast. I have my doubts about whether he can hang at LB, but very possible I am underestimating him. I mean, he's a 6th round pick from Buffalo, what am I supposed to do, overrate him??
This does make Scott a sleeper. I think he is either a 3 down LB (their nickel LBs last year were Morrison and Howard), or here's an interesting thought: 2-down WLB and 3rd down pass rusher. I say this because when you look on the team to find a DE that brings outside speed the search takes a while. This might be wishful thinking on my part, as I don't like the idea of Scott as a nickel backer, and I have not heard anything about this in minicamp.
