Lions WLB Ernie Sims is out indefinitely with a "significant" shoulder injury.

The newly secretive Lions aren't saying the injury's exact extent, but he's almost certainly not going to be ready for Week 3. Sims has 14 tackles (eight solo) and a fumble recovery through two games. His backups are rookie DeAndre Levy and 2008 surprise second-round pick Jordon Dizon.

Anybody think dizon might do well if he starts in place of sims?
