Thoughts on MSW (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, whats your thoughts on MSW?

He has been a flat beast for 4 of his 5 weeks he played...catching a very good percentage of the targets thrown his way.

Garrad blows though, so that has to hurt his value.

Are we looking at a flash in the pan with this guy, or someone who can be a solid producer from here on out?

My opinion....just based off his catch % alone, he must have some game, but ive yet to see the guy actually play...

he's been discussed ad nauseum in about 6 different threads. use the search function rather than starting a new thread on the same player.

He hasn't hurt his value 4 of the 5 weeks MSW didn't have Cortland Finnegan on him like a blanket.Garrard has never really been hurting for passing yards in his career. He's never really has a good end zone target either. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes, actually pretty accurate.

In games he's played:

6-106 1TD : 9 Targets

(22.6 PPR FPts)

6-81 : 10 Targets

(14.1 PPR FPts)

7-91 2TD : 11 Targets

(28.1 PPR FPts)

9-120 : 11 Targets

(21 PPR FPts)

2-9 : 3 Targets

(2.9 PPR FPts)

...Just one bad week, that's pretty darn good. I think he looks great in games, but for some reason only had 3 targets last week. One of which was to him for i believe 30+, but was overthrown for a pick.

I think he's a keeper.

Yep, someone here posted that link to the pick. An AWFUL pass by Garrard, overthrew him by 10 feet, otherwise he would have likely scored.

That reason has a name. The reason is a fresh & healthy Cortland Finnegan.

Fortunately I can start both, but if I had a gun to my head this week I would go with Jennings. He should be a big part of the lead GB gets on TB. I do however have them producing 90 and a TD each, but I'd lean with the one who has the better QB and did better last outing. Though I'm probably wrong and MSW blows up.

We have our trade deadline this weekend in my league and the MSW owner has been panicking after his performance against TEN -- I looked it over from every angle I could possibly think of and decided to make a play for him. I've still got him in the 'buy' column...

I think he's frustrated some owners because 3 out of the past 4 weeks he's basically done nothing at all - but considering that 1 of those weeks was the suspension, 1 was the bye week, and 1 was the (hopefully) fluke game against the Titans... I can't help but think that it's a great time to buy him at a good price from some fed up owners.

Since we're trying to gauge a weekly value on MSW as in the above, how would you rate him this week against Dwayne Bowe? To me they're quite similar in that they are very good players on bad teams and the stud at their respective positions. Would you all play MSW over Bowe as well?

I'm undoubtedly playing MSW over Bowe. MSW has been more consistent in targets and production, and has a better team around him that isn't afraid to go pass-happy when they're down.

i don't know if i would undoubtedly play him over bowe. i probably would. but he is coming off 2/9 ... you have to at least think about it.
