The National Football Post's Aaron Wilson reports the Patriots are the front-runners to land Anquan Boldin.

ESPN's Adam Schefter calls the Ravens the favorites with the Chiefs also in the mix. These teams know a good value when they see one. At the cost of a third-rounder, Boldin is a no-brainer. His next team has him under contract cheaply for the 2010 season with a year to work out a contract. It would be interesting to see Moss with a bad back, Boldin with his ankle issues, Welker with a re-built knee and Edelman with an arm in a cast; the all MASH unit.

The Pats apparently were only in on this if Boldin played this year for the $3M left on his contract. Not sure the logic in that, as Boldin was not enamored having to play for that amount in Arizona.
