Padres Sweep the Giants

Braves win 1 of 3 vs the phils

They would all tie. Giants and Pads for the West and Braves for the WC.

What happens?

For some reason I think the division is settled by head to head and them the other team plays Atlanta for the WC...

Anyone know?

http://www.baseball-reference.com/about/division_ties.shtml

Scenario #5: If three Clubs in a League are tied with identical winning percentages at the end of the championship season and two of those tied Clubs are from the same Division and are also tied for first place in that Division and the third tied Club has the highest winning percentage among the second-place Clubs in the remaining two Divisions, the Division Champion shall first be determined by a one-game playoff on Monday, September 29. Any playoff games played to determine a Division champion shall not count in determining which Clubs are deemed tied for a Wild Card designation. Clubs that were originally tied with a Club or Clubs for a Wild Card designation shall still be considered tied.

Example of Scenario #5: The Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals and Florida Marlins all have identical winning percentages at the end of the championship season. The Astros and Cardinals are tied for first place in the NL Central and the Marlins have the highest winning percentage among the second-place Clubs from the NL East and NL West. The Astros and Cardinals would play a one-game playoff on Monday, September 29. The winner shall be declared the Division Champion. Despite the loss, the losing Club would still be considered tied with the Marlins for the lead in the NL Wild Card. Those two Clubs would play a one-game playoff on Tuesday, September 30. The winner of that game shall be declared the Wild Card.

The Giants and Padres would play for the NL West title on Monday with the winner being the division champ.

Then the loser would play in Atlanta on Tuesday for the NL Wildcard.

This would be tremendously awesome if this happened.

In real life, very cool. In fantasy it will likely cost me my first chanpionship ever in a particular high $ league. This league allows 5 SP keepers, 3 RP keepers, and a keeper at each position (3 for OF) and one at dh (any position). A team has been entrenched forever at the top for the last five years. This year I finally caught him after years of 2nd and 3rd place. Problem? Half of his team contains players on SF, SD and ATL. I have no players from any of those teams...and playoff games count toward regular season standings. After today I will likely be ahead by the slimmest of margins (start today +41). The differece between a 1st place check and a second place check is roughly $530 depending on # of transactions).Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

boy if this comes down to Braves Giants, what a toliet bowl that is.
Why? That's a great series. Plus we get the Phils and Reds.
 I think Atl-SF could be the most competitive of the 4 series. Atlanta's bats have been cold for a while so they will need to hit a little more to win but Atlanta's top 3 of Hudson, Hanson and Lowe isn't bad now that Lowe has been pitching well again. I may not have stats to back this up but it seems like Atlanta hasn't played well in SF so I'm not optimistic but we are in so we have a shot.

I'm rooting for a run for Bobby, but I think their shot in the series bit the dust when SD lost. If SF had to burn Lincecum tomorrow, even though the rest of the staff is stout, I think that could have been an intersting psychological scenario.

the American League ALDS match-ups could be ;) the way these teams played the last two weeks. Thankfully we get to see the Yankees and Twins yet again, good God.
