Tiered ranking request on FBG (1 Viewer)

I assume it has been brought up in the past.

But

Is it possible to have each staffer who submits a ranking to somehow show a tier as well as their number.

(assuming they tier their rankings)

i.e.

instead of showing a staffers rankings as such after sorting.

This way if Moss is 4 and Wayne is 9 the disparity in ranking is not as large as it seems if both are in the same tier.

Is there any possible way to show this?

Different colors, an underline at the last player in that tier?

Or is this already in place and I am just an idiot?

 
Rankings are different than projections

Tiers are generally based on where projections put players in smaller groups.

Pretty easy to deaw the line(s) if you look at Dodds projections (or anyone else who does projected numbers not just rankings)

 
Without giving up any subscriber content, I just did this for the top 48 RB's using FBG projections and came up with the following 8 tiers:

1-4

5-12

13-17

18-21

22-26

27-31

32-39

40-48

The disparity within each tier seems minimal.

 
Bump. Any official response? I think it would be a great addition to the subscriber content (I always buy another sites draftkit just for their tiers).

I don't really see the point in doing tiers. We have four different people do offensive projections and 2 that do IDP numbers. You can weight those how you like in the Projections dominator and then apply those numbers to the Draft Dominator. Tiers are heavily dependent on the scoring system, starter requirements, etc. We prefer to do everything based on the raw numbers and let people see the breakouts wherever they naturally occur.

Fair point, but I don't ever use the projections.Mainly use the rankings, so when I see a staffer rank Player X 8th and Player X 14th.That SEEMS like a lot, but if they are in the same tier, then I know the ranking is not that far off.

In other words, no one is willing to go out on a limb. I would if I had the time. I think tiers are better than yards and TD's "projections".
 
Please do not implement this request. Staffers will never agree on the same tiers and it will just add confusion. If someone wants tiers, they can easily look at the stat projections and come up with their own.

I don't understand what that has to do with anything?Each staffer would have there own tier, which I assume they have anyway when they make up their rankings?

 
Something else that I would love to see is if it's possible to create a band of high/base/low case projections - primarily thinking of something that helps between the selection between two players in the draft. As a hypothetical (NOTE: THIS IS NOT PROJECTIONS JUST A HYPOTHETICAL):

Say you're in the 6th spot in the draft and you are trying to select between Randy Moss and DeAngelo Williams - seeing something like this would guide my thoughts in making the selection (assuming 1 pt per 20 yds rush/rec and 6 pts TD):

DeAngelo Base: 1262 Rush / 11 TD / 145 Rec / 1 TD 142 pts

DeAngelo High: 1400 Rush / 13 TD / 200 Rec / 2 TD 170 pts

DeAngelo Low: 1100 Rush / 6 TD / 100 Rec / 1 TD 96 pts

Randy Moss Base: 1181 Rec / 14 TD 143 pts

Randy Moss High: 1400 Rec / 18 TD 178 pts

Randy Moss Low: 1000 Rec / 10 TD 110 pts

Observation - the base and upside are relatively the same - but when you look at the low case - I probably would weigh that in the decision. Again - the base case is based on the latest projections - but the High and Low here are just some plug numbers to illustrate the point on when you are drafting someone who is projected close to their ceiling or close to their floor.
