Tiger Woods (2 Viewers)

In order for me to take a bet with someone, I'd have to be of opposite opinion. I've said about a dozen times in this thread that I believe Tiger will win another major. Hell, YE Yang won a major. Woods is still young. He WILL win another major. Not sure why you're trying to pretend I said he never would.
How many more majors do you think Tiger will win in his career?
6 to 8
I would say something like this, but he would have to stay healthy of course. :hifive:

Thought I'd swing in here and see what's goin' on. What's Tiger doing today? I haven't been watching.
He's being his usual sucky self. -5 through 12 today, -12 total, 3 shot lead.
Still one of the world's ten best in non-majors.
Good thing you curled up into your shell when offered a fair bet.
Hole, shell, pit, trailer ...take your pick.

This weekend's performance? Meh. Understand the course played short, weak field, and he had some pretty lucky bounces. I'm not feelin' the guy these days.

I didn't actually catch any of it, been out rearranging the rocks in our rock garden and pruning the heather.

You wanted to bet me on something that I agreed with you about. Don't you see how that would have made for a difficult bet?

So you are finished with the nonsense now?

Pizza - the guy thinks he's clever. He's not self-aware.

LOOK AT ME, I HAVE HEATHER!!!

This playoff stuff really, really sucks. Why force them to go thru 4 weeks in a row? It's a stupid money grab by the networks and pga.

:goodposting: Especially since its right on top of the PGA & a WGC - plus Tiger did the Buick, so that will be 7 out of 8 weeks.Pretty sure this is the most he has played in 2 month span since he was a 21 y.o. trying to earn enough to get his Tour card (fall '96). Even then he got burned out and dropped out of one tourney on a Tuesday (and skipped the Haskell Award dinner, both of which he got roasted for being inconsiderate).

You're just confused about my stance on the subject.I still think he's a top player. Probably still the world's best (didn't he overtake Stricker for #1 yeterday?). My premise is that he's no longer so dominant that the others on the leaderboard get scared and choke on Sundays when Tiger's on the leaderboard with them. The competition used to lay down and die. Without the intimidation in his corner, he isn't rolling over his nervous-opponents anymore. In fact, I think it's now just the opposite. The fact that Tiger isn't winning majors is now in HIS head. Not making the cut in one of this years' majors and choking with his putter in another (to a total no-namer, btw) shows that the other guys on teh tour (even the nobodies) just consider him one-of-the-guys now. The mystique is gone. All I know is that Woods better win a major soon or some fan is going to get a driver upside the head.

The way the points reset is a joke. I understand they want it to be interesting up to the end, but Stricker completely ####s the bed yet is 250 points behind Tiger going into the Tour Championship. Gay.

you sure do knows lots about golf. (try to at least learn the difference between world ranking and fedex points)
Since this isn't NCAA football and it doesn't really matter, I never took the time to find out the difference. Is it more important than I'm making it out to be? If so, please explain how.All I know is that Woods was 0-4 in 2009 in the majors. Am I accurate about that?

Tiger Woods isn't struggling against the field.

What you don't get, besides like everything, is that a lot of other players who are near Tiger don't win a Major every year too. If you expect Tiger to win a major every year, then you are actually showing Tiger the respect that you can't show to anyone else on the Tour. Which is why he is Tiger Woods.

Please. Just call me Junior.

Went to the Pres. Cup yesterday. It was a blast.

Saw Tiger's wife IRL as well. On a scale of 0-10, she's like a 14.

Y.E. Yang will face off against Tiger tomorrow without being held down by the Japaenese dude. Line at Yang 4 and 2 sound too low?
